Yep, "subtle" definitely the word I'd use too ;) .....

..... but then I do have a rather strong sense of the ironic, sometimes slipping into the sardonic.

Nice, and I think it will be wonderful with the canopy: on.

(remember, though, the Kikka was a Nakajima product!)

I like this! Kind of an updated, sweptwing, jet version of my "Misago" (pic of un-finished model, but shows off the configuration):

My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

Oh my that's beautiful !..... How far down the To Do list is that ? I really want to see that finished. Where are the donor wings from ? They look made for the fuselage.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

This is another beauty, they will be wonderful together, and maybe with a standard zero to show the amount of invention...

Don't want to "hijack" YOUR thread with my stuff, but since you asked...

>Oh my that's beautiful !<

Much thanks. A couple years ago (?) there was a Manga comic with a similar aircraft. I had always wanted to make a "twin-engined Zero", so did! Allied Code-name is "Zeb" (Zebulon), keeping it similar to "Zeke", but different.

It was finished last year, in Thai markings and camo. Pic below, with RW Zero 22,

and build thread with backstory is at:

The wings WERE made for the fuselage!!   ;)  Actually the plane is more "Dinah" than Zero (Mitsubishi products, both)-- I sunk a Zero cockpit area in the top of the Dinah fuselage, then the Dinah wings were shortened and rounded for a "Zero" look. Tail is Dauntless (same shape as Zero, but with curving fuselage strake and a little taller), and the "solid" nose is from a Monogram A-26.

It's been a little while. Bouts of illness and a couple of visits to hospital saw me lose my appetite for modelling. The n when the bug bit again I started two new projects !

Anyway finally got around to finishing this little darling.

I like the way you resolved the new under-nose bit - but I gotta say - she's not a pretty ship

Wouldn't want to meet that on a dark night - mind you it wouldn't be to dark with that colour scheme  ;D

Good to see her finished
