I am determined to plod on with the three remaining started builds:
1/72 Sikorsky UH-71 Kestrel

1/72  Boeing V-22 Osprey

1/144 Be-200

The toy ambulance as well,  playworn will make a great camper van.

I'm having a slight problem with the T-tail on the Be-200, the Kestrel just needs the rotor gear built and a paint scheme.  As for the V-22 Osprey,  airliner or amphibious or both. I just need to find suitable decals.

Off to the doctors for a blood pressure test  on Tuesday and on Wednesday  my free eye test with Vision Express in the Lewisham Centre.

It's with a heavy heart that I have just been told that my natural father has passed away in the early hours of the morning. He was fighting cancer of the pancreas and dementia. His wife has also got dementia but fortunately my sister and her husband look after her.
We didn't get along very well and I never stayed in regular contact with the family in Walthamstow London E.17,I did mean to go round and see them but current events prevented me.
I think that he was proud of me being in the Royal Auxiliary Air Force as a few of his great uncles had been Lancaster pilots during WWII.

Regardless of everything, it's never fun when you lose family. My condolences.
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

Totally agree, my condolences as well
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thanks guys for your kind words.
This morning I went for a free Eye test with Vision Express in Lewisham. I didn't know that the NHS gives out vouchers up to £71 for the frames and lenses if you qualify for it ,so I was very surprised after all the tests and wearing various frames that my pair of multifocal glasses will be ready in two weeks time and I don't have to pay a penny for them.

Thank you all for those kind words,  losing a family member is always a sad occasion, we remember the good times and they will be forever with us.
Since then I have been told that one of my colleagues that I worked with at Batt Cables, Fraser Road Erith Kent has also died from the Covid-19 virus even though he had two jabs of the vaccine.
Life has to carry on, through this we gain strength,  for me a bit of whiffery especially when four parcels arrived.
Yes I did buy a kit for the sole purpose of just one part to add to the 1/72 Sikorsky UH-71 Kestrel.
The already built 1/25 Academy Ford Capri RS3100, I have the same kit in the stash . So why has the builder gone to so much trouble in detailing his model leaving the grill and tail lights still in chrome and not painted them.
The grill looks like it's come off the Dinky Ford Capri Police car. The plastic body is the one without the smooth surface and naturally the steering wheel is on the wrong side for UK drivers, no wing mirrors. I know it's supposed to be a Motorsport touring car, the type of thing that I would watch on a Saturday afternoon with Dickie Davis on ITV Sport many years ago. I loved watching the crashes.
As for the Italeri 1/72 Boeing MH-47E kit , my razor saw has been busy. Both rotor stacks have been removed and the parts from a 1/72 V-22 Osprey do fit. So do I have enough plastic to fill the gaps in or will it be a bodge?
Stay tuned to this chanel.
I've gone back to proper jigsaws and yes I will be gluing it to a cardboard base when it's completed. I just need to buy one of those jigsaw puzzle rolls/mats to keep the pieces safe. I just hope that all the pieces are there.

I have had a crazy idea for my 1/72 Revell C-160 Transall and the 1/72 Italeri Boeing MH-47E SOA Chinook kits.
Having already sawn off the two rotor stacks on the Chinook my first idea was to create a Boeing V-22 Osprey but then a light bulb moment change the engines around to end up with a Rolls-Royce Tyne powered Rotodyne and a tilt wing/tilt engined C-160 Transall MR.1.
Well I start the Free2learn CCTV course on Monday using Zoom for the first time, first 5 lessons on line and then I attend the next five in a classroom somewhere in Hackney. It's free if you are on benefits in the UK.
This is what I have been upto today.
The Sikorsky UH-71 Kestrel now has the mast mounted observation/designation sight from the Matchbox  Bell OH-58D Aeroscout PK-42.

In the background is the Revell 3D jigsaw puzzle of Hogwarts Castle, with a few stickers to hide the gaps, yes that is Puff the magic Dragon or a Horntail Dragon!
The rare 1/25 Academy Ford Capri RS3100, stripped down and washed.

And now another kitbash ,donor kit is the 1/72 Italeri Boeing MH-47E SOA Chinook,  but with a razor saw and the twin tail fins from a V-22 Osprey I have mocked up the following:

I started my Free2learn CCTV course using Zoom this morning, it was just like the first day I started working as a security officer back in September 1986.
Greenwich housing has informed me that one of my bids was successful and they have arranged a  viewing on the 1st November in Charlton. It's £127 per week which the housing benefit allowance will cover, all I have to pay is the heating.
