Engines look good, but fuselage looks a little short for the random ? Possibly not deep enough at the rear rather than short ?
You mean deep as I'm the B-24/Privateer rear end?
Looks like the 'Night Hawk' twin engined Privateer is for the chop, fortunately I've got a B-24J in the stash so I can Whiff that at a later time.
Update on build part2
I've renamed this build the Avro Shackateer as it is using more and more parts from the Revell Privateer  kit.
The rear end of the C-87 has been glued in place,  although not a perfect fit it does get extremely close  and with the  single tail fin looks like a copy of the Avro Types716  as illustrated in Chris Gibson's book ' Nimrod's Genesis page 91.
The resin Shackleton Mk2 weapons bay has also been glued in place.Elsewhere the resin round wingtips from the Halifax VIII /Halton conversion are also in suitu. Once dry the next stage is to fill in the gaps.I removed the stack as it was easier to handle whilst gluing the two halves together.

This looks hot....your best yet I'd say !

Having seen pictures of the Sea Victor on another topic and dry tested the hull from the Hasegawa PS-1/SS-2 seaplane ASW/SAR, this seems doable. I'll dry test the hull on the stretched HS/BAe Nimrod Sky Guardian before the final fitting.

The fitting of the new hull is a bit of a bodged afair whilst some parts fit nicely to the fuselage other places have daylight passing through them. Time to break out the two part filler/ putty.

Captain Canada

CANADA KICKS arse !!!!

Long Live the Commonwealth !!!
Vive les Canadiens !
Where's my beer ?

McColm

Ah!
Whilst the upper fuselage remains the same the new hull and surrounding filler/putty will be skilfully blended in.
Still open for suggestions on the final colour scheme although I now have a set of U.S. Coast Guard decals.

The Lockheed Protesus has had undergone a transformation,
with the propellers and spinners taken from the Italeri HC-130J No.1348 kit. It's no longer a tail sitter as the rear landing strut has come from a white metal HP Victor set. Twin tyres are off an Academy KC-97G.
The hose and drogue plus Harvest Hawk Flir resin conversion by Attack Squadron 72065.
Having misplaced the clear plastic canopy,  I've cut down an AeroClub clear vacform Shackleton Mk2 canopy that fits.
EMS pods have been fitted to the wingtips.
Just needs the wheel well doors fitted, landing lights, exhaust pipes and interior details added. Should be ready for it's primmer early next week.

Martin Shorts Seagull.
Tried the under wing hose and drogue pod from a KC-130J which didn't seem to work.  Filler and finer detailing to be done. Changed propellers and now has a pair taken from the Italeri C-130E/H with spacers and spinners. The rear needs to be sorted out before painting.

The Shackateer
Filler/putty and sanding stage. May loose the Observers seat in the nose section as the radar usually carried on the C-97/
KC -97 has been glued in place on the chin. I'll be using the True Details 72008 1/72 resin set of main and nose wheels diamond tread B-29/B-50. As this is the Mk2 the nose wheels will be fitted at the rear.

The Endeavour
Based on the Frog Avro Shackleton Mk3 with the single vertical fin and tail off the Airfix B-29 kit. Using resin parts from the AeroClub Avro Shackleton Mk2 kit the weapons bay has been glued the other way around which is more alike to the Mk3 bomb bay. Above the fuselage, behind the cockpit is the radome housing. Could be a duel purpose radar in tracking submarines or in the AEW role. Sourcing a 1/48 display stand. Got a second hand set of Canadian Cosmopolitan decals.

HS/BAe Nimrod (stretched ) Sidetrack aka Sky Guardian.
It's got to the stage where it needs to be masked up and sprayed with primer. This would look cool in U.S. Coast Guard colours and decals. A suitable stand would also be ideal.

Bristol Type 170 Rotodyne "Biffo"
Final detailing and decals to be added.

The HP Victor AEW3
This has had a new hull added with loads of Milliput yellow -grey filler/putty.  Trying to keep the lines of the Victor has been maintained. The wingtip EMS pods have been removed as a temporary measure and will go back looking something similar to that of the Nimrod Mk4. A new crew access door and some fuselage windows will be added. Just need to spend a few days out in the garden/backyard sanding. I will also scouring the internet for pictures of tail pipes.
Pictures will be added.

McColm

Put up pictures with filler/putty on the following builds;
HP Sea Victor AEW3
Avro Shackateer AEW
Lockheed Protesus

I'm using the Heller EC-121 Warning Star as a donor kit with parts from the Academy KC-97G & L models.
The basic shape will remain the same but the boom, boom operator's window and other parts will be fitted.
May change the engines to turboprops  ( could add two J57 jet engines in a layout similar to that of the KC-97L ).

McColm

Been working on the Silver Cloud by stretching the body .
Found a broken model of the same kit and lengthened the rear passenger compartment. The trunk/boot has also been cut for stretching.
The engine that comes with the kit will be repaced as well.
Possible 6 wheeler.

Although it states on the front of the box 'easy to assemble, no scissors or tape required ' you are definitely going to need card glue and keep the backing card to stiffen the sides or add extra gluing joints for a better fix.
The instructions are tiny, an enlarged photocopy is ideal. Small hands are a must as there are some fiddly bits if you decide to ignore the instructions and pre-build sections.
No scale is listed but this model is a guide for when I build my own version either using the Airfix 1/76 Sherwood Forest Fort/Castle or modify another plastic kit.
This card kit comes with a battery pack and four bulbs. The box forms the base.
This could be built out of kitchen roll and cereal boxes with a bit of artist's licence be developed into something as a backdrop or be used on a model train layout.
My frustration is vented out on the sanding down of the Sea Victor AEW3. I'll need to make a pair of FOD covers.

Part2
As another day draws to a close I don't recommend  this card kit to anyone.  Sure there have been fans of the Harry Potter series that wanted a 3-D model of Hogwarts  but this kit is a big disappointment.
However all is not lost, as I can see the scope for internal detailing in the larger scales or airliners/ transport aircraft.
1/24 or 1/25 scale vehicles especially if the engine cover is clear on sports/muscle cars.

Part 3
Finished and looks quite good when lit up in a darkened room, reminds me of the scene where the first years clap eyes on the castle from the Great Lake from the boats!

More filler has been applied to the Shackateer around the engine cowlings and finner joints. A flat nose was filled with the remainder of the putty.

Part 2
The fuselage windows and basic cockpit have been glued in place. Inserted towards the rear is the clear glazed flying boom operator's window and flying boom from the Academy KC -97G.
Fuselage glued together and wings added.
Where the wingtip fuel tanks would have been fitted the resin C-130 hose & drogue in-flight refuelling pods have been cut and glued.
The outer engines have been replaced by the twin jet engines as used on the B-47 and the inner engines haven't been fitted yet.
As you can't see a lot of detailing through the cockpit windows this will be filled with ballast.

Part3
The triple tail fins have been replaced with the single vertical tail fin from the KC-97G and tail arrangements. I've also cut the vertical tail fin close to the rear fuselage to form an air-intake.
The inner engines are from the Heller EC-121 Warning Star but I've extended the prop-shaft so it looks like the second set of propellers are contra-rotating.
The spares bin has been raided to provide gap fillers in the wings where the two sets of twin jet engines taken from the Avro Endeavour have been fitted. Lumps and bumps fitted above and below the forward fuselage.
Might keep the U.S.Navy paint scheme for the Warning Star and add arctic red to the tail, wings and front.

I know it can be frustrating when you've put a lot of time and effort into a build,  then find out one of your housemates has broken your model.
Sometimes you can repair the broken parts whilst other times parts can be salvaged for other builds.
This is what's happened to the stretched C-97 that was to be the EC-97 Waddington.
The tail section is now on the Heller EC-121 Warning Star kit. The large resin radome base for the WV-2 is now glued to the stretched Airfix HS/BAe Nimrod  (Sky Guardian ).

Took the National Express down to Falmouth in Cornwall yesterday.  A pleasant ride which was a few minutes ahead of schedule.
Visiting my mum and younger sister for a few days.
