Well I am now in my flat,  waiting for the heating to come on. Got a duvet and a single fitted sheet for my bed.
Toilet bush and a mirror for the bathroom. Just need to get a kettle and toaster, might dash out and get one before the shops close.

This all sounds like a reasonably comfortable Christmas coming your way.   I am delighted for you.

Thanks Guys,
The 15 tog duvet is lovely and warm. I will be ringing the council to find out about the heating and hot water, if there's a delay a kettle and a electric heater will do. I'm still getting used to the smell of fresh paint.
Why didn't they paint the radiators when they did the floor and the walls plus the ceiling?
Got an idea for the other part of my wooden bunk bed  Turn it into a desk.
Wood glue, mallet set square, saw, pencil, drill plus bits and a screwdriver set.
I have a tape measure and a set of alum keys.

I have trying to get through to the repairs department in my local council to come out to turn the heating on, phone lines are very busy so I have bought an electric fan heater and a kettle. So I now have heating and hot water .
I also got some cutlery and a can opener, tea towels and a bath towel .
All this walking has done me some good as I don't wake up that often now during the night  .

Anyone attempting to build the Wrebbit 3D puzzle of Hogwarts  Great Hall and Astronomy Tower will need plenty of research material as the instructions are not very clear. The only good thing is that the pieces are foam based so they can be used again if they don't fit unlike the card equivalent sold through Revell.
These puzzles are much bigger than the one I built before.
It's beginning to get a lot colder here in not so sunny Charlton Southeast London.
A few kits have arrived which is good.

I think that I am coming down with something  sneezing, coughing and a sore throat. Got the Beechams powder handy and staying in bed.
I had my first lamb donor kabbab since April it's really tasty.
Back to the Wrebbit 3D puzzle and some progress has been made on the pavement. The walls slot into the pavement to create a foundation, unfortunately there's a few details that aren't seen on the 1/24 scale model at the Warner Bros Studio,  London. Nor in the films.
Only 875 pieces in this puzzle, the other one has 850!

Thursday 23rd December 2021

My fourth day at my new home and I received a lot of packages, one contained a two burner electric hob and the other a set of pots with kitchen utensils. So naturally I had my first cooked meal. It's not as good as Captain Canada but it tasted good straight out of the can.
My head cold seems to be clearing up but the coughing has started.
As usual I have left everything to the last minute so Friday will be a dash around Greenwich. No turkey for me but fried chicken or a chicken stew or even a fry up.

Progress is slow with my puzzle, so I will be doing some whiffery over the Christmas holidays.
Filling the bins with cardboard for recycling.

Christmas day and I cooked lamb chops for lunch with vegetables. Not having a TV means which kit to build first.
So I went for the trusty Frog/Revell Avro Shackleton MR.3.
Apart from a few propellers being broken the kit is turning out to be a good one
This will be the Avro Turbo Charlton AEW. 1. Using parts from a Grumman E-2 Hawkeye.

Must admit lambs my favourite meat and if I was cooking it would be slow cooked lamb shoulder
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The 3D Wrebbit puzzle continues with incomplete  parts of the Castle and 'I wonder why they don't have pictures to help you?'

Moving on and the 1/72  Frog Avro Shackleton MR 3 is starting to change. The twin turboprop engines, stand and rotodome are in place.  The nose wheel landing gear has been moved to the rear.Tip tanks and twin tail planes.
I have flattened the nose.
I'm tempted to use the Hawkeye decals as I have never seen a Shackleton in USNavy markings.

The Wrebbit 3D puzzle is so frustrating,  I'm now building small parts of the puzzle rather than tackling one major side of each tower.
Most is trial by error as I still wake up in the early hours of the morning. If you do suffer from insomnia then take out a jigsaw puzzle.
I find when my fingers start hurting it's time to stop  .

The 3D Wrebbit puzzle continues during the period when I can't get back to sleep.
So many windows, it's never ending.

The 1/72 Boeing V-22 Osprey has undergone some kitbashing with the ESCI AC-130H Spectre II parts. A mini-gunship with STOL.
I found the puty/filler so the Avro/Grumman E-5A Charlton AEW now has a flat nose. Gaps will be PSR  on both models.
