If you're going to do the dozer blades at an angle, you'll need to cut them at an angle so they'll fit together, but it looks like the resulting blade will be a bit too narrow.

My dad and I decided to redesign and this is what we have came up with.

"I am a tangerine, and no one can see me"
"Your despicable!!"
"EHHHH Whats up doc?"

So what do you guys think about it? :unsure:

They better have a BIG tender with LOTS of coal on board!  ;D

Should look great in the plastic.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

And maybe some armor plating around the boiler?

I think it should have 3 types of fuel. coal, oil, and wood. ;D

I'd recommend sloping armour plate on the sides / front of the boiler + Zimmerit!  And maybe not have the domes stick up so high - how about a steam powered main gun, like the old GW Warhammer Steam Tank! :thumbsup:

coolpop6307

I do like that zimmerit idea or the front but im not so big on the sloping armour and steam gun...sorry... :-\

Ooops didn't notice the poll. Voted now
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

It's your model, mate !!

Just thought the sides of the boiler might be a bit of a shot trap.

I like the 2nd one but without the side-shields - use the beams of the first version  :thumbsup:

Zimmerit = asbestos lagging ?  According to Bovington, Zimm fibers (like asbestos) are carcenogenic !
you may as well all give up -- the truth is much stranger than fiction.

I'm not sick ... just a little unwell.

coolpop6307

It sounds crazy but it would keep the magnectic bombs of it. ;)

Zimmerit wasn't made from Asbestos.  It contained (approximately):

    * 40 % Barium sulfate - BaSO4
    * 25 % polyvinyl acetate – PVA (similar to wood glue)
    * 15 % pigment (ochre)
    * 10 % Zinc sulfide – ZnS
    * 10 % sawdust

So, nothing fibrous like Asbestos at all.   None of the ingredients as far as I can discover are carcinogenic.  Barium Sulfate can be poisonous, if ingested but I don't think anybody would be eating Zimmerit.  It may however, glow in the dark.  ;)

How to reduce carbon emissions - Tip #1 - Walk to the Bar for drinks.

deathjester

Barium sulphate?  So you can pick up german tanks on x-ray machines then!?!  ;D :tank:
