Captain Canada

Some lovely stuff in there ! I'd love to do a Brittania/ Yukon or two. A turbo Argus would definitely be on the board too.

I wonder how well the ATR kit will do now that/when the Italeri kit is released?

the ATR is cheaper than the Italeri offering.
I always hope for the best.

F-Resin seems to have created a 1/144 scale Saro Princess - which was released at Telford and no one seems to have noticed it.   :banghead:

I saw it at their stand. Looked good.
Cost GBP 80 though.....

Oh, I noticed it alright!

But like Tom I also noticed the price.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Very LARGE I imagine.  Even in the smaller 1/200 my HK-1 is very large and I think the Princess is only just slightly smaller in "footprint" than the HK-1(but certainly larger in mass!) so in 1/144 it must be a pretty hefty pile of material. Anyway.... In Ameri-Bux this is well over $100 so I guess I'll be passing for the indefinite future.  ;D

From memory the Princess looked to be about 4" tall, and that's just the fuselage!

Most impressive anyway, but badly needed to be in BOAC colours. And that went for the real one too!

Wow!! Now that's some real-estate!   One day perhaps....  the BOAC scheme would be perfect.

Yup I saw it but wasn't sure if it was a pre-production or production version of the kit. There tends to be so much even in years when the major players are quiet that in can just swamp you.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
