Excellent model!  Very nice finish with a difficult to do scheme.

German Marineflieger

This has some real world legs, the Marineflieger preferred the Buccaneer but recieved the F-104 instead.  So an early Marinefliger Bucc in grey over silver, or assuming a later retirement date, the Norm/87 scheme of green/grey/dark blue-grey?  Load of AS.30s for a very early machine, Kormorans later, maybe with a mix of anti-raditation missiles?
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

One of the things that killed it was the rank amateurism and unhelpful attitude of the various British ministries. One German admiral waited for three weeks while a promised, classified brochure went back and forth between London and Bonn in the diplomatic bag, although when he did get it, he said he found out more about the plane from it than from either the British salesmen or the British officials.....  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:  The irony is that Lockheed probably didn't need to bribe 25% of the population of Europe to sell the Starfighter: all they needed to do was be reasonably competent....

Thanks for the new replies! German Marine Bucc sounds good, I'll look into that one too. I guess I may have to build another one, but having built four of them over the years I'm not not sure I can put myself through the lack of fit, filling, sanding, filling, priming etc, etc! If you've built one of these you'll know all about it!

This is tempting me to do something similar in 1/72.
