you may as well all give up -- the truth is much stranger than fiction.

Some great stuff there!

The 'Soviet Arrow' is a blinder!  ;D

(Yeah, yeah, I KNOW a Blinder is a Tupolev high speed bomber, but you know what I mean.....)

These anigrand models are great for whiffing ideas, but they would need some serious landing gear / exhaust / cockpit upgrade etc etc....
I'm having both on my bench, but not really moving forward with it. Lots of sanding
General Melchet was also busy working on the Rapier, but don't know how far he is right now.
But maybe he's reading those lines now and could tell us  ;)

Re Su-12.... Came quite late (aka 1947). What-if they retrofitted it with jet engines?...

Texan Interceptor

Here's one I saw on a R/C modeling forum. The guy got a slightly crashed Texan model from an owner who didn't feel like fixing it. The new owner thought that it would look cooler as a fighter. Wing span is a bit over 2 meters.

I hadn't seen this one before: F-51-R Interceptor, to counter the "Amerika bombers".

My mistake, sorry....

raafif

actually that F-51 was on Hyperscale &/or ARC last year, so is simply a "share" re-post.

I still believe that here & BtS have different whiffings to offer.  This site certainly has more appreciation for my British side, where-as (due to me going "off" physical modelling) BtS is more "profiles" inspiration for me at present -- but then so are the effects of my meds on my brain

Give it time & I think the two sites will even out - most guys seem to post on both

Both of them are REALLY good Ian, well spotted.

I can't imagine why the RAF camo S6B hasn't been done before, it's so damned obvious!
