Could also be a Chinese design, e. g. the mysterious J-9 fighter. AFAIK, there were canard designs for a Chinese Mach 2 fighter, also "things" that resemble the MiG-25 (also as pure delta wing). Bears a lot of potential, though, and looks (beyond the wacky landing gear and the long tail - probably inspired by the early MiG-23 prototype with along afterburner) pretty conclusive.

Whatever it is, chrome and racing stripes on a TIE fighter is a great idea.  An improvement IMO.
