Found another, VERY subtle IJA whif...

Hmmm...?

That is beautiful, and so do-able. Maybe stick a B6N2 cowling on the front for that muscle look.

Oh!? Wasn't aware of that, but it's a VERY nice combo that makes me try to get hands on a Parc or Amodel kit...

Mind you, where is the US Navy IAR-80 ?
I always thought it look rather like the F4U Corsair, maybe it is the canopy and a radial engine.

I'd forgotten all about that thread, that is, assuming I knew it even existed ! 09-10 was when I went off the radar for awhile....

How about this skin transplantation...? Now we know what came before the Hunter.

And then I found this pretty variant...

Captain Canada

Oh my, that last one is to die for ! What a beauty.

The first one looks funny, like it's missing a wing or the one wing is taking place of the two ?

Found at the Warbird Information eXchange in a thread about the Walter Soplata collection, prompted by a board member's diorama build of some of the aircraft: a Zwillinged big-cockpit Skyraider!!

He had posted a pic of a PA-48 based on a (singled) P-82 and said "some leftover parts went into my "twin-skyraider". must fight temptation to "twin" everything."

Cool Skyraider. Looks like a treasure trove behind and all around it ! Wonder what it's mission is ? SAR ? Nav trainer ? It has the big center pod.

Interesting. I've got a couple of the Eduard 1/72 kits on order. One will be real and I was wondering what to do with the other. Now I know
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Two whifs from a recent German convention:

Yes, this once was an aircraft!  ;)
