The radiator looks much like a P-51 radiator - but not quite. I wonder what was used. In a googleated version of the linked thread, the guy says that he considered several radiator positions and wasn't really thinking of P-51 when he made it.

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Another one of my creations has become (virtually) airborne: the lend-lease F4U in Soviet markings - pretty close to the "original":

Nice to see some people, at least, are willing to acknowledge your efforts, and not just rip them off.

I have to say I'm a bit ashamed of the current crop of Hyperscalers, if this lack of RTFM is anything to go by...  :banghead: probably why I haven't logged on there in a few years.

Dizzy, that's a neat design and works as well as the 262-winged and -engined version does.
Is this the earlier version of the jet one that you mentioned in the build article?

Dizzyfugu

Yes, it is. And there's the vague plan to build a late Go 146 on the basis of an Arii Ki-46 III (the one with the sleek nose) and powered by DB 603 engines from a Me 410, as a late war/Luft '46 high speed recce aircraft.

Cool, that would be interesting, too.
Any thoughts as yet on why they'd go from jets back to props? Or would it be an interim design, with jets being fitted in time, like the Shinden?

Y'know, thinking about it, I think I prefer this one, over the jet. Don't ask me why, I'm not sure. ::shrug::
