OK, some comparison pics.

It would fit. You'd just have to show an Ewok or Gremlin how to fly it.

I'm contemplating joining the 'In the Navy' GB by building one of the Wyvern TF.1 kits I have,

I've the CMR one in the stash and that's earmarked for the B.P.F. at some time in the future. Is that the one you have ?

Yeah, I've got three of them --- One will be as the TF.1, another I'll try to make a Clyde forward fuselage (it has the right looking tail group for it) and the last one I'm making into the forward cockpit/mid-engine variant. I've got it on my night table as I'm figuring out what I have to do with it. At first I thought it looked a bit small for a 1/72 Wyvern, that was until I got my Frog Wyvern out to compare. Wings are practically identical, just got some better details to it, and the fuselage is the same length but of course, a bit different. What I'm planning though it would need a modified top line to the fuselage and it looks like I need to add a fuselage plug in the front end, to get it to look like the 3-View in Tony Butler's BSP book.

The Wyvern is a MUCH bigger aeroplane than you usually imagine!  :o

The one at Yeovilton, admittedly with an Eagle piston engine, TOWERS over everything in sight, and that includes the nearby Sea Harrier.

Yeah, I have the Wyvern sitting on the shelf alongside my Seafires & Seafang, it's HUGE!

That ones certainly an interesting looking aircraft. None of the Wyvern's are particularly blessed in the looks department, but that one  ;)

Well I think I'll throw my hat into the ring again, I'll post a new thread in 'In the Navy' GB soon.

Wow - those guys are brutal.  I'm glad they're not on this forum.

The guy even said he has sight problems ... but more than that, maybe I do too, because to me it looked real enough.  I mean, I don't think I've ever seen leading edge slats open in level flight, but I I know some a/c have automatic slats that pop out whenever airspeed is low enough.

Well, maybe the Skyhawk was stabilizing at low speed for a good shot from the photo ship...?

The colors a quite off, but the Lightning looks great with the Norm 81 scheme, it works well on the airframe. I did a MiG-21 in that scheme many moons ago, and this worked disturbingly well, too.

There's also a Polish Lightning in a late MiG-21 livery around from the same artist.

I seem to recall seeing these before, but I may be thinking of the twin-engined Fairey Battle that... someone did. Anyway, these from Aussie Modeller International look very nice:
