beowulf

first build of 2012

built for a long running GB somewhere else

the theme is 'what if Atalantis hadnt been lost?'

the scenario is that the Island of Atlantis hadnt vanished as it was supposed to have but had gone on to become a small but economically powerful country

havnt really come up with a full back history yet......something along the lines of an African country being invaded by a more powerful neighbour and asking for help in the '70s. Atlantis supplies half a dozen A1 Skyraiders for use in low level ground attack over the tropical forests

kit is a well dodgy Revell offering that i got very cheap in last years MZ sale.....why mould all the pylons under the wings and then not supply any stores to hang from them?

I have come up with a plan so cunning you could stick a tail on it and call it a weasel. ......Edmund Blackadder

That's 'cos it's a re-pop of the old Mongram kit, circa 1968 or so IIRC.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

It's also moulded on the underside of one tailplane isn't it?  ;D

Nice paintjob Beowulf - that's an excellent "junglie" scheme.
