Another one you can use is Fairy Power Spray.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

id go for the fairy before the Mr muscle, Pellson, if that stuffs what i think it is and what it used to be be very very carefull,  and don't use it on metal parts,  it was a fairly strong Caustic soda solution ( NaOH) and was capeable of eating flesh to the bone..  Although going mad with he Fairy may do the plastic  no good, one of the ingredients is Limonine which is used as one of the less than lethal model cements

It is with deep regret that I have to announce the `death` of this particular kit today. Despite the valiant efforts to revive it, all attempts failed to bring it back to a condition that I has happy to continue with.

It worth noting that this model was carrying a donor card and it is understood that a number of donor parts will be distributed shortly.

The 74 Sqn Jaguar story isn`t over though and as soon as a replacement kit arrives in the near future.

I`m trying to catch up to where I screwed up the other Jag, may she rest in peace, so I have decalled the cockpit, (yes, I know thats cheating) and pretty much got the main fuselage sorted out. Hopefully by the weekend I should be ready to spray the first colour on.

Slow progress, but starting to look more like a `kitty` every day.

Now, do I glue the canopy into place and then mask, or do my usual mask first and then stick into place...  :-\

So this is how the original should have looked  nearly 3 weeks ago. Now I feel up to date on this.

Finally got this one completed after nearly a week of staring into the great white telephone to god.

Not my usual `out there` kind of whif project, perhaps more a `what could have been`, (or wchb for short..., although that just doesn`t quite roll off the tongue as well as whif......), but it was a nice little project to work on.

Didn`t go for the Black Tail look that most 74 types had as I felt that if this conversion from fighter to ground attack had taken place, the top brass would have banned it on `tactical` grounds.

Anyway, enjoy the pics of my interpretation on how the Jaguar GR.1 would have looked in `Tiger colours`.

I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

what they said.... nice looking

Very plausible indeed. I can just imagine that tucking its landing gear up as it blasts off over the Great Hautbois Rd and the River Bure.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I think you forgot the Saucer of milk!

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

Sometimes a graet whif is a subtle whif...Tiger Jags fits the bill perfectly!  Nice!
So I got that going for me...which is nice....
