Just joined the forum so I thought I'd post a couple of pics of my current WIP which is a modernisation of the USS New Jersey.  It's the Tamiya kit with Scaledecks wood decks, GMM PE and Veteran Models weapons.  Tommahawks have been removed and the decks built up for VLS launchers and the twin 5" mounts have been replaced with singles...

Not sure yet, I've just got the MRC Marine Aircraft set in the post which has a number of choices including the V22 Osprey so I may go with that  ;D

That really is fantastic. Is this complete or do you still have more to do?

Retained them on the basis that they still have a use in close range NGFS...

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Agreed on the optical director - radar, electronics and computers are amazing, but there's still no computer as powerful as the human brain, and attached to the Mk. 1 eyeball they are an excellent pattern-recognition system.

Glad to see a fellow fan of my favorite ship!
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.
