1968
The Royal Air Force unveils it's latest fighter/interceptor aircraft, the Hawker Siddeley Typhoon F1

After the cancellation of the P.1121, Sir Sydney Camm went back to the drawing board to design an aircraft the MOD couldn't refuse.  Capable of Mach 2, able to dogfight with the best designs present or projected, and capable of carrying up to 8, but more usually 6 Red Top missiles, of both IR and semi-active variants.

Entering service with 19 Sqn on 8 July 1968, the Typhoon flew alongside the Lightning as Britains premier air defence fighter well into the 80's

Nicely done, that tail has really come out splendid.

Also, I think you should stick this into the Time Warp Themed Build providing you have pics of the construction build..., (which I know you have.. ;))

Thank you all. I think a 1/48 version is next on the cards, done properly and better detailed!

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
