I love this plane. I have seen at least 2, (without maine) and I think I'll never see enough. Good start.

A Sea Furie's Grandad no less! Nice one.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Good idea. It reminds me of the Curtiss P-36 Hawk series.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Looks great, and a terrifically easy conversion from the progress so far.
Must add that to the 'To be copied/imitated' file....

Very nice indeed! Where did you source the Hercules engine? I've always wondered why there were no British radial-engined fighters in that era. The Hercules was at least as powerful as equivalent Merlins...
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

I'll be honest my first thoughts on seeing that were : Romanian ! Kind of thing they might have done to keep their Hurricanes serviccable ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

not to shore were the Hercules engine came from.. some of the bits in my scrap box have been there for at least the last 20 years!!!!

I wonder how a Hurricane would have done with an ASh-82?  Yours is coming along nicely.  Perhaps with some Red Stars?
