Radish

The Gnats would be pretty old by now anyway, but in whatiffery, the '70s world might benefit from Gnat gighters and DACT too.
Too tiny for Meerkats, but I have a 1/72nd Wookie ;D ;D

And how about a nifty reconnaisance aircraft. ;)

Here's a thought though: how about using it's small size to simulate a missile for training purposes?

It's happened. The RAF got there first. Gnats in close proximity to Vulcans were used to simulate bombers with stand off missiles during exercises in the late 60s/early 70s.

What do you feed your Meerkats on to make them bigger than a Wookie??? :drink: ;)
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

If one were to use Gnats as DACT aircraft in the late 60's and 70's would they have
used Inert Sidewinders/Red tops etc, to simulate missile launches and send back/record data
of the Dogfights or hadn't they thought of that sort of thing then? Or was Eletrickery/Lazionics
Not advanced/small enough then?

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

I always thought the Gnat would have been ideal as a Patchwork World fighter.
