I do have a question for everyone here. As you may have noticed in the album pics, the cockpit seats do not have seat belts yet. What's the best may to add belts in 1/72nd scale? I was thinking of decal strips or painted strips of aluminum foil. What have you tried?

I use strips of Tamiya masking tape. You don't even have to paint it for some applications and it sticks itself in place while you give it a dab of superglue for the long haul. AND it comes already textured, what's not to like?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I have an old set of photoetch 1/72 seat belt harness hardware. I'll have to break it out. Thanks for the tip.

Exactly what I do
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I had forgotten about the wine bottle foil trick myself.
Thanks for the tips. So much to do.....

#185
I installed the seat belts and painted up the jump seats.

I cut the belts from aluminum duct tape. The adhesive made it much easier to install.
I have run into a snag. One of the cockpit windows has gone missing. Its the left lower window by the pilots feet. Fujimi/Testors part # C-2 on the instructions. Any chance someone has one lying around? Or an idea on how to fake one?

Cockpit window is almost in my hands, I just have to go to the post office and pick it up.
Installed some cable cutters today and a few details. Working on mounting the door guns. An M-240 and a M2 50 cal.
I made a quilt pattern cabin wall liner from the aluminum tape by scoreing lines about 3mm apart and at 45 degrees. I painted it light grey. When I peeled the backing paper off I was able to stick it to the inside of the cabin and hide the seam where the two fuselages were joined. Then the jump seats were installed.
I'll have pics soon.

Here's the cabin liner before I trimmed it and installed it.

Also the jump seats in place. You can just see the cabin liner just above the seats.

Here's the link to the album with alol the pics.
