Not much progress, crunch time at the end of the semester.  I've been working on some of the weapons.  I put the H-60 gas bags on A-10 pylons.  Making a third one out of an F-4 wing tank and some bits to go under the fuselage.  The A-10 kit was the Revell snap fit one.  the pylons snap in and out of their wing slots nicely.  Its convenient for checking how an arraignment looks before gluing.  Mavericks, Hellfire and some 2.75" rockets will follow.

Multi-purpose good deal.

I have taken a little break from studying here and there and have accomplished a bit of work.  I closed up the area behind the Viking fuselage.

I attached the Viking engines after triming their pylons.

I may have jumped the gun on this a little but I had to see how it would look.  Plugged in the gas bags in their wing slots too.  Not to shabby I think.

Blimey, the original MRCA!  :o

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

This will be beyond awesome when it is done! And you have me thinking of doing a stalled project in a whole different way. A "Ground-bound Apache anyone?

Thanks for the comments.  I noticed in the pics that one engine sits higher than the other.  I'll probably pull them off to finish the Blackhawk engine anyway.  I had to reset one of the main gear as it was too short.  The joy of kitbashing.  Semester is almost over so there will be more progress soon.

I worked on the Blackhawk engines.

The Hasegawa Seahawk engines (rear) are noticably larger than the Testors/Fujimi Blackhawk engines (front).

This may not be the final configuration. The exhaust of the forward engines conflicts with the intake of the rear engines. Plus I want some kind of exhaust shielding like the real Blackhawks.
Some thin styrene might do the job. More to follow.
PS I tried pulling the Viking engines off....no way!  I thought I was about to crack the fuselage open.  Never sticks until I want it to come off.

Why not duct the forward exhausts inboard of the aft engines and trunk 'em out through the same tailpipe?

IIRC, the Seahawk has more powerful engines, which may be a little physically bigger, also.

I thought the engines were the same size.  Learned some thing new!  Your idea may just work, Thanks

Wondering if you can move the front engine up and outboard a bit for clearance. Then you get rotor clearance problems. Your doing better than I could.

So far the front engines have been hacked off and thrown into the box with the Stubbyhawk parts.  I will enclose the now gaping holes and I am making a rotor hub housing from german bomber engine nacells.  I'll have pics to follow.
