Thanks again to PR19_kit for the seats. Katsu from SSM has saved me by sending a replacement for the cockpit window I lost. Thanks for the help guys or she would be a hanger queen.
Spent the afternoon decaling this beast.
Decals are from the scrap box. Some of these are really old and like to shatter. Drives me nuts. The Microscale sheets seemed to survive the best. Lots of Micro Set and Micro Sol works wonders.
The cable cutters puzzled me for far too long but turned out to be easy. Sometimes its just a matter of stop thinking about it and just do it.

I gave a little throw back to the good old days by putting MARINES on the wings. I figured the USMC is not shy about letting folks know just who it is that's kick'n their @$$.
As you may notice I am having an issue with the exhaust from the regular Blackhawk engines. The kit in this area just sucks. Any ideas for what to do with this? I would like to do the IR shrouds used on the real Blackhawks or something like them. Any suggestions as to what kit I might steal these from?

probably not the answer you're looking for but current suppressors are rather draggy large, old designs. you mentioned a 2040 timeframe a creative, streamlined, futuristic design of your own might be better.

I see what you mean. I'll have to search the junk box to see what I can repurpose. Maybe something more blended in but with lots of louvers. This is another thing I should have taken care of before painting. Also adding all the seatbelts before closing the cabin would have been a good idea. I won't make that mistake again!

The Army will get in on the fun soon. When I cut the two fuselages to make the Super Blackhawk I cut each extra long to make the lengthened fuselage. This left me with two extra short Fuselage halves. The idea is to join these to make the Stubby Hawk. This would be a pure attack machine with lots of weapons hanging from slightly swept wings. The tandem rotor would look good on this. Its on the list to build, no idea when.

Started the rotor system today. I had to bring out the old school drafting skills.

Made a rough cut using scissors. Next time I'll cut out with the knife. Scissors caused the plastic to curl and twist. Nothing I can't work out but still a pain.

Not too bad looking on the test fit. I'll have to see what I can do with the tail rotor.
