This one is nearly done, hasnt been the easiest build (Minicraft). Ill go for the newer Revell Super G if I build another.

Im debating tip tanks or not and seeing the prop blades are a bit fragile they are "on the short list" so Ill have to keep it in in flight display.I may have a look around for some aftermarket stuff,I think some were made for the Welsh model vacform.

Perhaps a bit of exhaust staining might not go amiss.??

The back story (coming soon to a pc near you)should explain the concept, markings and anomalies.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I'd confirm that Aeroclub did do some white metal Connie props for the Welsh Models kits. AFAIK Densil was including them as standard parts in his later offerings.

Looks excellent in RAF markings, the lightning stripe really goes well with the curved fuselage datum.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Neat.

I was tempted to do the 72nd Heller one as an RAF Met Flight aircraft in Extra Dark Sea grey with Med Sea Grey lowers.  But then sanity returned after I realised how big an aircraft it was.  I could do it from the kit Dork mentioned, but I refuse to do 144th.

Remember he was a sailor, that sort of comment could see you spending the balance of your natural life sellotaped across the barrell !  As for my aforementioned "unbiased critique" - I think that looks excellent, and since you asked, I wouldn't bother with too much in the way of weathering, it looks very nice as it is.

There, that fooled you didn't it - betcha thought I was going go all smart*rse on it !!

Now who was going to the Queen's Flight one, was that you???
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Not me ..no way...all that masking and stuff?.......no no thrice no.  For someone (again not me )that or a Boscombe Down machine would make a truly eye catching model. Use the Revell kit though..............better still the Airfix "super G"
