Nice stuff in the Newcastle pics Lee, well done on the Class win
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

LOVE that PRDU Spiteful Lee.

My Dad flew X - 6C, a PRXIX, at one time.

I've a few from that unit - a Spitfire PR21, the Spiteful PR15 (early) and I've just got to put a few final touches on the lowback PR19.

IIRC, X-6C is on either the Freightdog or Xtradecal PR19 sheets.

It is indeed, and one day I'll build a RW PRXIX in that scheme.

I did one for Dad YEARS ago, using the old Frog Mk XIV modified, and when he died Mum gave it back to me. It's really NOT good enough by today's standards, even with an Aeroclub metal prop.  :-\

Great work Lee.  Puts my glacial build rate and collection of finished models to shame!

I'll probably do it myself at some stage, but using the MPM kit rather than the Airfix one as a basis.  The former has better surface detail, certainly more restrained.

Great stuff - I particularly like the grey/black "spoofer" - that's a cracking colour scheme!
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

The Wooksta!

I've a few Pathfinders to come in a similar dark scheme.

It's only limited by my imagination, so it's potentially limitless.

Are you going to be doing the 'nearly supersonic Spit'?  You know, the one where they were dive testing it, and the prop + reduction gear was ripped off so the pilot glided the twenty miles back to base for a perfect 3-point landing!

That was a PRXI amazingly, but I guess it could have started from a LONG way up!

I'm tempted to do something similar with a Spiteful.  Much more slippery airframe so a Spiteful F14 sans cannons may be on the cards, although whether it'll be camo or PRU Blue is another matter.  IIRC, I've a box with five part started Blackbeard* Spitefuls in it plus bits for another three so may use one of them.
