So I have started an F-86 for the Scorpions ex-Luftwaffe, overall light grey with full Portuguese markings

I did an Ex-Luftwaffe F-86 in a dark grey, belonging to the "Falcões".  ;)

Well, I have got the Sabre ready to paint along with a real world Mig-17.
I have also started a Su-19 which is the reverse engineered F-4 obtained from Iran and Vietnam, built in small numbers for the IA-PVO when the proposed swing-wing projects hit wing fold mechanism problems.
The -19 was not built in place of the real-life Su-15 "Flagons", but in parallel. The -19 having longer range and a better dash speed was in service in the Eastern and far Northern parts of the Union working integrated with Tu-22 high speed AEW/heavy interceptors acting in the C3 role.
The model is based on the F-4E with the under-nose fairing left off and the intake ramps modified simply to look different, no tail hook, and small air intakes for afterburner cooling.
I did build one of these in the past, but it got bust!! Basic idea was from an American modelling site many years ago.

I am new to plastic modelling kits, and this thread reminds me of a vintage bicycle group I belong to. I ride my old bike, it's all I can afford, with these guys but have no experience in fixing and building them. All they talk about is vintage bikes, their history, all their parts, and where to source them. I of course just listen, and most of the time I have no idea what they are talking about. But at least I get the chance to see these bikes, and with some idea of what they are talking about. Nevertheless, I do like to see them enjoying their hobby especially when other likeminded riders come together, once a month, to form a riding group...the camaraderie is worth witnessing. I envision the same within this group.

OK Dr G, welcome to the insane asylum.

Well, I now have 3 models ready to paint, but am waiting for a dry day to play with the rattle cans.
So, I have been repairing an old attempt at a P-84 which got clattered when it landed base up and dug out the Su-7bis which is at the fiddly, "did you realise I have 2000 intakes under there" stage. :banghead:

So, I picked up an M-72 combination and some zombie figures for a little dio. Aiming for that "What the frak is wrong with you?" vibe.
Going to need to scratch some limbs and guts with some gore. Was wondering about a were sheep as a little humorous aside.
