Yep did the Meteor it is a Tamiya "shake and bake" so got nearly all of it done tonight. Just needs a smidge (tiny bit) of filling and I found  BPF decals as well so might get it to the show next weekend.

Geoff

Got the underside sprayed matt black on the Meteor. Now I have to figure out how to mask it off to do the white top.

Geoff

So, I sprayed the top white on the Meteor  :banghead:  Tamiya pearl white aaaaaaaaaaggghhh! Ended up using Tamiya matt white which seems to have much better coverage - details next

Wouldn't it have been easier to spray it white overall first, then black out the undersides?

Yes it might have, but I had masked off the top side. The bloody aerosol just did not seem to have a lot of paint in it. But I suspect the temperature being about -3*C when I was spraying and it says do not use below 50*F might just have something to do with it. ;D

Geoff

Well I have finished the Meteor and at the last second got glue on the canopy.  :banghead:
As a friend of mine used to say "a 2 foot model" ie: it looks ok from 2 feet away.
Belgian F-89D next as they evaluated it when they got the Clunks

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Annoying. And do I know the feeling?!?

Good idea with the Scorpion. Looking forward to that!

There's nothing wrong with a two foot model.  Hardly anyone (apart from the odd rivet counter.....and many of them are very odd )gets closer than three feet!

being a wargamer the vast majority  of my stuff is 2 foot models,  they look good en-mass on the table, and some of the mega detailed stuff will not look "right" visually due to being too busy, the details that are there dont get picked out on things visually at the normal distance that scale gives.
so i count anything that good ( or better) as a win

I tend to build 6 foot models I'm afraid, especially in 1/72.

I know what you mean, but that didn't stop me painting "accurate" facing colours and the correct number/spacing of buttons on my old Seven Years War figures back in the day. Sad
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
