Well despite not having finished converting the loft into a modelling den/Railway room,
I have managed to sneak onto the end of the dining room table to do a bit of plastic bashing,
So armed with a couple of Gnats (New Airfix mold and very nice it is too )
and the Warpaint Booklet on the Gnat/Ajeet

I've got this far:

And after a couple of saw cuts I've got this:

And as I have the Model decal sheets for RAF Vampires, I'm thinking RAuxAF....
There's a little bit of PSR to come :banghead: but not too much I hope...

Keith

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

I missed that first time as well  :banghead: RAuxAF sounds good or it could be an emergency Revell stock delivery aircraft ?  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Ah yes the well known (to me) Revell Aircraft in Build Posing Pots.  ;D
Living in my neck of the woods, the local Hobby/Toy shops stock Revell, oh and Revell....
So for paints and stuff its normally Revell...

Gnats is good!  Single seater version of the T.1 is nice to see.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Here's one I did earlier, a 'Gnat F2' (based on the old Matchbox kit) without squadron markings or weaponry for the recent Cosford show (check out that particular thread for 'Cosford Candidate #3').

Since then I've applied 603 Sqn markings (Modeldecal) and next up a pair of pylons and Sidewinders.
Back story basically is that, unlike the real Gnat's development, in Whifworld it followed a similar path to the Hawk - trainer first, fighter second.  The F2 was a simple adaptation of the T1 (similar to the L59/L159), whereas the F3 I'd like to do has the cockpit moved back and higher, with a radar fitted in the nose.  I've chopped up a profile already!

Looking forwards to TallEng's builds.

How on earth did I miss that that was single seater at Cosford!

Looks like Kitbasher has got some of you a bit confused!
Very nice as it is That one isn't one of mine.

I'm afraid I've been on nights this week so no progress :banghead:

I think Kitbasher's has also appeared next to The Wooksta's AEW Lanc.?

Looking forward to seeing the 603Sqn Markings, Kitbasher
