So I'm a Civillian Instructor with the Air Cadets here in Freddy Beach... a trio of my cadets started this Revell Phantom back in January.... frankly they got bored with the parts count & number of steps involved and abandoned this one before the paint job.

Gecko's profiles have featured large in my collection... this is phantom # 3 in Cdn service...

the paints are Valejo & Tamiya, the decals Hobbycraft leftovers from a Dash 8... still need to clear coat the lot, slap on some gear doors & bring her back to the cadets next week.
cheers

Always fun to see a profile turned into a build.

Good job.

Captain Canada

Beauty, eh ?

I love all the little lumps and bumps attached to her. The paint looks good too. Too bad the kids gave up on her. You see that alot with kids in the modern age....

My only complaint would be the titles on the gun housing, just not a spot you'd see them if you ask me. Besdies, it should say RCAF !

I blame Gecko for profiling a Brit Phantom....

That decal was simply left over from the Dash & yet another cadet (keen on airliners rather than fighters) suggested the gun needed something (he really wanted the shark's teeth)...this was the compromise.

thanks for lookin'
cheers

I've gone with the shark's mouth on the nose, and the titles just aft of the cockpit.

Very nice canadian phantom! And as Phil mentionned, it's always interesting to see a profile turned into a "real" model
And the boys are working hard
(But still no steam on the window yet....  ;))
The carpet monster took it!

the finished phantom.... the base is borrowed from another cadet's competition diorama (and that one, an F-86 in 434 Sqdn RCAF markings took a gold yesterday earning him a ride in a Cormorant SAR helicopter !)
