Seeking the most advanced and fast project of the Me 262´s family, could be this: Me 262 HG V: the fuselage of high speed of the Me 262 HG I, with some improvements: the wings with a steeper angle (as the Me 262 HG II), a new more aerodynamic tail, and a single more powerful engine; innovations that were collected years more later by the american F-86 Sabre.

What?  A Me 262 with a nose air-intake? How do you dare such an heresy, such a... what-ifery!?
Only someone like Tophe would clap his hands, both of you will be condemned!

Congratulations, from Tophe ;D

Ohh now thats a nice idea, should be a good one to watch come together

So the fuselage is from an Me 262 and the flying surfaces and the intake are from a Sabre?

I'm amazed it seems to fit together so well! Nice thinking.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Looks good as a model but just not sure where the engine really fits - but it will look really great - look forward to seeing this one

Me as well
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Behind the pilot, with the ducting going around each side of the cockpit tub? Looks ok to me.

Cracking idea, Fran!

Hum... Nice use of the PM F-86 Sabre plastic blob :)

I like the idea. More like the P1101 melded into an Me-262. The wings seem to have an enormously thick trailing edge (bottom photo optical illusion?), but otherwise "right" in angle and span. I know Heinkel was working on a series of very powerful jet engines near the end of the war--maybe ONE of them would have similar or greater thrust than the standard two Jumo 004's and could propell this new HGV. Good luck.
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

Thanks to all. PR19 kit: it wasn´t easy to join pieces of both aircraft. I had to forced the triangular section of Me 262´s fuselage up to coincide with the F-86´s intake.

Dumaniac: As pyro-maniac and SR say, i imagine that the engine should be behind the cocpkit; i think like the Me 1110 (similar to swedish Lansen).

Anyway, i find the result of the fusion fascinating, as the logical future evolution of the Me 262.

Slerski: Yes!, it´s the kit of PM of the F-86..... not easy.

Craig: yes, i´ve to continue working to make the rear edge of the wings. I had to cut previous the F-86´s wings.

Cheers

>Craig: yes, i´ve to continue working to make the rear edge of the wings. I had to cut previous the F-86´s wings.<

If you cut off the wing tip, then cut out a section of the MIDDLE of the wing chord (where the wing is thickest--#1 in the pic), you can add the tapered trailing edge of the F-86 wing (#2) and avoid trying to re-shape that thick trailing edge. That will keep a proper airfoil. I have done just such a thing on a past project. Food for thought.

Ii think it would perfect Craig, but; unfortunately, the longitudinal cut of the wing has done irrecoverable the trailing edge. I have to work more with the sandpapper.

Thanks

At last i can to resume this job!

I´ve changed the wings. These are better, with better attack edge, and join with the fuselage too.
