OGL, please advise if there'll be room on the stand for the VDT please?

We will make room, that "little" display is well over due an outting

Good, I think Hendon is an entirely appropriate place for it to be displayed again.....So, any guesses at how many of the museum's staff will have appoplexy when they see it??

Then of course you need a bio-hazard warning and respirators in case you know who drops a SBD with a blast radius akin to a seismic charge dropped by Jango Fett's Slave 1

I'll have you realise that I'm a national treasure - it's even been "listed" as a wonder of the natural world    ;D ;D

Took the bloke who listed it out for a curry did you??

Yup nice lamb phal

Only you could drop in the words 'nice' and 'phal' in the same sentence Chris! :o
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Isn't phal what the Indians use to launch satellites?  ;)

It surely is, but I'm looking forward to the reaction I hope they'll generate..

I've arranged the day off work and should be there early. It now depends on my sister taking Mum to the airport that morning, if I have to do it I won't get there till gone 11am  :banghead:

The Mitsubishi/BAC Jaguar T.2 will be there and I might even have an F.1 to go with it.....

Thought I'd mention for any that aren't aware.

You can order from Hannants for pick up on the day of the show at the "Not Hannants" next door to the show and get a 10% discount.

May take advantage of this if I haven't got a Tamiya new tool Zero by then

Also for those again not aware the Young's Hostelry "The Beaufort" is just down from the show just over from the new nick and has some good aviation photos as well as beer

This is a copy of an e-mail I got forwarded from my club sec about the no eating rule. I thought I'd post is for info purposes. I am NOT paying the exhorbitant prices for food at Hendon, so the hostlery brother Narses has mentioned might just get a visit at lunch time.

Hi All
Just a week to go to the show.A big thanks to you all for getting all the names and reg numbers to me on time.
A couple of points to note:
The museum management have asked me to remind you all that there is no eating and drinking allowed in the display areas( behind the club stands),they have asked myself and the other Barnet guys to keep an eye on this,so please help us out on this.
.
Not sure if i mentioned this before but no selling from behind the club stands please.
Thanks for your cooperation
See you all at the show

I'm quite pleased I can't get there. Who DO they think they are? That's an outrageous ruling!  :o

its been one of the "requests" from the museum management since they relaunched the show.

I get around it by wandering out side with a packed lunch, Theres a fairly large under cover area next to the museum,s old main entrance. Im also a bit cheeky and grab a seat in the "Wessex cafe" which is normaly directly opposite our stand.

I got to talk to one of the Hendon managers towards the end of the day last year, and pointed out that his colleagues at Cosford could teach them a thing or two about how to run a model show in a major museum.
I always hope for the best.
