I thought I'd start a fresh thread for this.

I'm assuming the SIG has a stand ?

I hope so or else I'll look a bit of a lemon standing there with a couple of boxes of models with nowhere to be shown!
Recall seeing in another thread (don't recall which) OGL saying he'd sorted a stand, but Martin needs to confirm.  There'd also been a couple of very similar suggestions for a theme in the wake of Cosford, but I don't recall any decision being made on any particular theme, or whether in fact there would be a theme.

yes we have a stand. Ive just got to fill out and return the risk assesment Hendon keeps demanding.
I always hope for the best.

I assess there's a risk of buying kits Ill probably never, ever build!

There have indeed been some discussions but as it was on last years show thread I thought I'd start a new one.

I'm aiming to bring alternative RAF stuff 1938 to 1945

I'll bring strictly 'Royal Alternative Air Force 1918-2014' stuff with me - something old, something new, something borrowed in a whiffish way and something RAF blue.
Possibly even a couple of whifs for the very last time before they're turned into real world models.

A Risk Assessment? For a Model Show?  :banghead:

What do they see as risks, JMNs throwing themselves onto priceless rare aircraft due to us having brain curdling models on our stand? Viewers stabbing themselves on pointy nose cones? SIG members fainting under the weight of all the stash improvements they've bought?

Strewth, some people need to SERIOUSLY get a life!  :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Hendon's the only venue I know that requires it.  no idea why. Thankfully the host club have a ready made one that they send out. All I have to do is change the club name and send it back via email :)

You can't do that you need to include the risk of Radish either confussing the public or bringing on laughing attacks with his more humorous builds.

Then of course you need a bio-hazard warning and respirators in case you know who drops a SBD with a blast radius akin to a seismic charge dropped by Jango Fett's Slave 1

Good, I WILL be there, I've 'negotiated' used of dad's car - don't ask!!!-  for the weekend. I'm also going to be bringing up some of my alternate RAF stuff. I also want to bring the Vulcan display team as well, it needs another outing methinks....

OGL, please advise if there'll be room on the stand for the VDT please?
