Ha, ha!!

Changed my mind on that anyway....keeping it RLM79...or an equivalent in Games Workshop.

That translates as Bubonic Brown, with some drybrushing in Bleached Bone. After that, some highlighting in thinned Bubonic Brown, plus some play with a pencil.

More work on it before the decals though...Saturday?
The base is mostly done....detail on the figures next. I construct the entire base before painting. The figures (1/72nd Afrika Corps Italeri) are carefully cut from their bases and superglued in position before I spray. All much easier and they look more inigrated into the groundwork.

I've also bought another 1:1 helmet for steampunking, along with a selection of wriggly snakes and a damned ugly spider!

As ever, the painting, weathering, painting, repainting, etc.... is proving time consuming.

Going to cook tea now too, so that's it for today. Off out for a good pair of accoustic chappies at t'pub then.

Decals tomorrow!! Promise.

Brilliant night at the pub last night, fantastic music and friends, including a couple of scrumptious ladies who wanted cuddles.
;)
After extensive research   :banghead: :drink: I've discovered that many, but not all, Luftwaffe jet aircraft had giant aether-reverse-screws fitted at the front of each intake to radically increase the airflow. Amazing.

The ideas I dream up after visiting the pub are often inspired, frequently by Marstons' products. Good music plays a part too......off to see a brilliant Who tribute band tonight.
More ideas will flow no doubt......the clipped-wing Lancaster Autogyro seems an idea worth persueing.

A good band again...great night. No new ideas....my mind was occupied by the blonde beauty who said, "Hi again!" when I walked in the pub. Spent hours trying to figure out who she was!!
Lots of women....a good night!!

Started an Me666G....the one with the steampunked/dieselpunked engine :banghead: :banghead:

Messerschmitt Me 666F-4 "Yellow 14" of Marseille completed.
Pictures on Facebook.....don't have a piccie account.
It'll no doubt appear at the Hinckley and Cosford shows on the Stafford table, or Luftwaffe SIG table.

This morning been drilling and screwing military helmets, playing with knobs, etc.... :drink:

It gives rise to a new verb:-  To RADISH  an item is to take it far beyond the bounds of even the most  comprehensive and versatile imagination.

Are losing theirs and blaming it on you....."

Steampunked helmets for Rocky Horror.
There's one for Mid (she wants minimal additions), one for a friend (he wants goggles plus other embellishments, he's foolishly leaving me to choose, so he's a giant spider added to his, plus other bits planned!!), and one for myself which will be, ahhh, tasteful.
;D ;D ;D

It has involved drilling, screwing, knobs and sticky stuff. :drink:

Here's Rad's desert Me 666  ;D Aparently the ether screw helps push more air into the engine and was made from a .......screw. I don't know I just write these things

A new concept in aerodynamics is born.............  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Working on the 3 helmets....lots of drilling and screwing.
"Commission"  one will be black and heavily weathered, with large metallic ant attached, goggles, markings, etc...
Mine will be blood red and weathered, with a snake and spider attached, as well as goggles and markings.
Mid's will feature a number of creatures, possibly, all in metal shades, with cogs, bolts, etc., and markings too.

"Stay sane inside insanity!" ;)
