Another idea....a friend was asking about a particular "lump" on a Russian An-26...I suggested it was a boil or perhaps just an very large pimple.

If they pop it, they'd best have some disinfectant nearby if its that large

Anything happening re. "100 Years of the RAF" on the display at SMW18, Telford in November?
On the GOTH SIG stand there'll be "150 Years of the RAF" contribution.... :banghead:

Not on the "official stand" Tel, but I'm sure the SIG stand will have some stuff, certainly should have two of mine

The Whiff SIG stand will have lots of the RAF 100 GB builds on it I imagine.

We really HAVE to persuade Dizzy to come over with some of his amazing stuff!

Sounds good.
I'm currently building a REAL (shock horror) 1/48 Spitfire PR.VII....the armed one from a Spitfire I, in very light PINK....naturally.
Looking at doing others in the various shades of "Off White" and "Camotint Green."

Thought of other possibilities.....PR Spitfires, early ones, in foreign colours.....French, USAAF, Dutch, etc....

PLUS, other PR aircraft in RAF colours "a la Spitfire".....F-6D Mustang as a Mustang PR.IV...PINK? Hunter FR.10 in the PINK D-Day scheme? RF-4C Phantom in Camotint Green?

A pink Mustang ? Swear I've seen one  Had D Day stripes as well I think ?

A simple idea....

Take an Xtradecal sheet in your chosen scale, one of those illustrating the aircraft of a particular unit....such as 6 Sqn RAF, and apply them to completely different aircraft.

Other companies make decal sheets for building aircraft of a particular unit, especially such well known units as 357 FG, USAAF, or the Luftwaffe's JG.51.
The same idea could apply.

Might be an idea to appeal to friends?

Meanwhile, as well as other stuff, I'm building one of the "little known" Corsair FR.IV examples in a unique scheme (of course) to take part in an LGBT modelling challenge. The result will be on the HIPPIE SIG stand at SMW18.

Could be a club build ? One sheet shared among club members ?

You'd better de-confuse quickly then Rad, just over 2 weeks to Telford  ;)

I've been doing that with 607 Sqn, although I'm only up to the early 50s with the Spiteful.  Got two on the go and still need to do two more.

I did have plans to do something similar with 6 Sqn.

Sounds excellent, Lee.
I'm busy building Spitfires (plus a few other thingies), but Spitfires are "key" to my plans....the "pilots" might be different though.....ghosts, squirrels, all sorts.

Well, after Telford/SMW18.....I've not done a lot.
Except planning....and sorting stuff....lots of that.

While moving stuff around, I came across a smallish cardboard box with a couple of Tamiya 1/35 tanks, a trio of different 1/72nd F4U Corsairs, 2x Quick Build VW beetles....bloody hell, I thought....that's almost a year's modelling!!!

Appraisal Conclusion: MUST DO METTER. :-\ :-\

A slightly belated Happy New Year! I'm relieved to find you still around the place.   I sympathise with the necessity to sort stuff, and look forward to the incredible flights of fancy resulting from your planning.
