Starting with some light relief....a couple of Revell F8F Bearcats in 1/72nd....lovely simple ex-Monogram kits that fit well together.
Straight from the box, it's actually possible to whiff it, as the decals are for the -1 while the kit is -2.
My first is a Royal Navy Bearcat FB.2....Midnight Blue, 1946 markings....
My second is RAF....a Bearcat FR.2....in 1945 colours, based on the mods for an F8F-2P.
Fun times.

Progress is slow due to other projects (too numerous to mention here and now) PLUS a weekend of debauchery and fun coming soon at a mega party in Brighton.

NO pictures......they won't let me post any.

Well the party starts at 2pm on Brighton Sea Front......until "late"....

The Bearcats have had no progress today as I feel as if I've had a weekend of "excess"....but I haven't.....

Anyway, weathering the RN Bearcat later, and hopefully spraying a 1/48th steam-powered "British Zero"....that Gloster thingy from 1937(???) as well as the steampunk1/48th "Beer Wars" Corsair "development ;D

All go......I've been thinking.....

About 3 years ago I began modifying a 1/48th Monogram F-105D into a VTOL aircraft, using the same wing-based rotors as  illustrated in the Blackhawk F-105 VTOL . Hopefully I can get back to this soon, but mine will be USAF.

Far too many ideas in  my head.....far too many cascading out...

A friend has died...only 59, and he loved his Quo and Floyd.

And I still need stockings and some rubber gloves.... :banghead:

And, last night I plucked the mostly-built 1/48th Academy (Hobbycraft) Polikarpov I-16 from "the pile" and started building a "super-engine" to create the:

Clydebank Co-Operative Buzzard III.

The Buzzard I was a straightforward copy of an I-16, retrieved after the conclusion of the Spanish Civil War by Republican supporters who lived in Glasgow. They set up a Co-Operative to buikld it.
The Buzzard II had a bigger engine.
The Buzzard III had an even bigger engine.

Current plans are for an RAF 1940 scheme...or 1941....

I like your thinking. That could come from my what-if universe.
Whatever.

They could also smuggle plans under their kilts...

The Clydebank Co-Operative Buzzard III needs some more additions.....the bulk is done. It'llbe RAF of course.

Buzzard III nearly ready for spray primer.
I've a Buzzard II started, and I'll concentrate on this development....it's easier to build than the III :banghead: :banghead:
Longer  nose than the I-16 on the Buzzard II but not as long as the III. :drink:

Far, far, far too many ideas......

The White Star/Cunard 4 x Funnel DC-3......madness, pure madness......especially as I already have 3 DC-3/C-47 projects in mind for Biggles..... :banghead: :banghead:

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Too much happening....granchildren need supervision, then I've been "proper bunged-up" with a cold, and of course, the social life intervenes. Also spent a lot of time reading recently.
BUT....spraying today!!!
