The ideas I had for the headgear, which involved a full-on metal finish viking helmet, have been changed as the branch have requested I take on a more "high profile" role which may (or may not!) require a less eccentric hat...or not.

Oh ye gods  :o :o :banghead: :banghead: You should be put on a charge for just suggesting that  :banghead: ;D

"Bowler hat and mankini?".....good idea but not really.

No, something more sedate...or not. ;)

Been sorting out my models to build for "Biggles Defies The Swastika"....stopped at 10 as anything else would be just fantasy. I already have 2 built (1/48th Bf-109Es) and others are in progress.
Might "slightly" steampunk the Panzer II in 1/35th though....

NARSES 2: glad to have implanted that image in your mind for at least until Xmas.  Not saying which year!

Key West FL, summer 2012: saw a bloke walking down a street wearing nothing but flip flops and a tiny thong.  And I mean tiny.  You've heard the term 'budgie smugglers'?  Well, he'd have been better off fully dressed 'cos at best all he qualified for a small fitting of a 'hummingbird smuggler'.

Why not do a whif Biggles based upon Monty Python's 'Biggles Flies Undone'?  Serious suggestion - nothing rude, just funny.

Ha....might in future, but at the moment "Biggles Defies The Swastika" gives me enough leeway to produce daftness.

The Panzer II (1/35th) will be slightly steampunked, and I have every expectation that if Paul's 1/32nd Ju-88 will be authentic, my 1/72nd Ju-88 will have some "extras".....

And my 1/72nd Skua will look more like a steampunked Dauntless.

Steampunked Top Hat in the best traditions of Isambard Kingdom Brunel?.............by appointment to Queen Victoria, obviously.  You could just about manage a Great Western  branch line around the hat brim.   I don't  think they'd let you have the cigarthough!

Change of subject.....massive sale coming up, starting on Decemberr 2nd at Coventry, Midland Air Museum.
A whole bundle of mine....mostly 1/72nd with a few others thrown in.
Aiming to clear away and sell up most of my stash.

My production rate is plumetting as I enjoy adding daft steamypunky things.
Finished the La-7bis-Steampunk....next up either an Fw-190A Steampunk or a Hawk 75 Steampunk.

The bulk of the steampunk late-war Fw-190A is done....adding details tomorrow prior to a spray.
The 1/48th Pegasus Hobbies Fw-190A3 is a treat to put together.
After clean-up of the parts, just add cement to the holes and spigots that the "snap assembly" has, and it just slides together. Brilliant.

Before I start adding bits to the steampunked '190, I've steampunked a skull.
There's nothing better than inseting/screwing screws into a skull (albeit a foam one) but I have a great desire to do the same to one or two people while they're still conscious....slowly, of course.

;D ;D ;D

Please may I add some names to your list?

You obviously missed your vocation Rad - should have been a surgeon. I can just imagine the patients reaction  :banghead: :o ;D

Or a torturer....similar to teaching in some respects.....twisting the little bugger's minds towards insanity ;D
Priming "the skull" later tonight.

After it's finished, my next one will be in late WW2 Luftwaffe colours, with decals of course.
I fancy a USAAF skull too....natural metal.
Also a RAF one...possibly WW2 Battle of Britain??

Found photos of lovely decorated skulls in a German ossuary.

And where I live is a trifle damp. Our village is rapidly becoming an island, and once more, Queen Caroline will declare UDI as Status Quo belt out the Village Anthem.

Both main routes out of the village flooded...everything else gridlocked. Staying put....only snag is we've been dumped on with grandchildren. Bugger.
