Right......

Canberra PR 16s evolving......the RB-57K has suddenly become a PR.16.... ;D

So 2 RAF Canberra PR.16s to prime now.
Both white with washes over the top to create various depths of colour, that "faded" effect and stained and well used. Each has different aerial fits, etc.....

One will be PINK, the other BLUE.

By the way, my pc is in its death throes and I'll be moving to a lap top. Sometime soon, I hope, but service may be "intermittant" on here.....also, I hane no email at present, so Chris might get an article for the mag via snail mail....but it'll be better to wait a while until I'm fully functioning in an electronic sort of way?? Is Rad becoming a cyborg??

Meanwhile I'm making preparations for my SMW outfit   :o :o :o

At least I can still access photos, and the printer works.

So I've been printing lots of stuff for Biggles, Afrika Reich and Nazi Dinosaurs....all ready for laminating where appropriate.
Bonzer    :drink:

More then happy to wait Rad

Do you remember when the Robomen (an early BBC Cyborg type) first appeared on Dr Who ? The junior playground at school instantly became filled with "Daleks", "Freedom Fighters" and "Robomen". If you were a "Freedom Fighter" and captured you were "Robotised" by a swift knee in the nuts   A happy days  ;D ;D Explains a lot as well  Teachers just used to watch and laugh
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Great times.....

And I've bought a laptop.
Technically you can tell it's good....the colour is red.

My wizzo nephew has been copntacted and I suspect daughter will have input too.

After spending all that money I need a lie down now.

At daughter's on her laptop......

Not unpacked my lt yet, and I'm sat here waiting for a furniture delivery. Such fun....but should be home by 10.30am.
Meanwhile.....thinking

I believe I need to progress more with the Biggles models.....

so far there's a rather red Luftwaffe flying boat and a couple of 1/48th Bf-109Es.
I need to add some 1/72nd armour/figures...
I've begun a Danish Fokker D.XXI that escaped....
Ready to build are:
1/32nd Hurricane I, 1/48th Hurricane I x 2, 1/72nd DC-3 x 2, Ju-86, 1/72nd Comet Racer and some odd civil aircraft.
1/35th Panzer II, various 1/72nd scenes involving civil and military figures, vehicles etc....
1/720 Hipper heavy cruiser.
A car or two in 1/32nd and 1/35th.....

Lots to go at so I'd better get on with it all. Others have built stuff too......so far a 1/32nd Arado 196, Ju-88 and Ju=87. Along with the Hurricane they'll look great. Also completed are lorries in 1/24th, a German Army truck in 1/35th; a flying boat or two including the new Italeri Sunderland. I'm in the process of creating supplementary artwork, and other stuff is under development.

My RAF uniform jacket is ready for additions....tassels, a badge or two, medals.....not quite an NK general though....
Should I wear a hat or a helmet? I tend towards both....a suitably decorated hat with goggles, flower, etc.... and a hard het helmet in blue grey with goggles, and "creative additions" including decals.
Should be a belter!!

I've a 1/72nd "monoplane" Walrus-thingy to paint in civil colours, plus a same scale Hawker Fury to do in Norwegian colours (they had one too, with a radial engine!!". Might build a 1/48th Furyif there's time.
A friend has 3 Gladiators "in production".
Another is contributing a German Z-Class destroyer....4 were lost in the Norway campaign.
I'm sure someone will contribute a Tribal Class destroyer...I might do a U-Boat.
I know that cars and motor bikes are "in build" and I have a "Rommel's Rod" to build as Von Stalheim's staff vehicle.

Been selecting pictures for the display...."Biggles Defies The Swastika" is 2013's theme; it's based on the 1940 Norway Campaign.

We're already laying the groundwork for 2014's display..."Biggles Defends The Desert".

Enjoying the sunshine, visiting friends and I've printed off a few more bits and pieces.

I need to do some introductions/information about "Afrika Reich", "Nazi Dinosaurs" and the different Biggles themes. Nothing too detailed though.

Can't see much happening today.

Daughter Doran's coming over, then lunch at t'pub...she's bringing the dwarf too so he'll need to play with grandad. An afternoon sleeping off the wine; take the gardener back (it's good that the peasants slave away while I relax, eat and drink); then out to the pub for some music.
 :drink: :drink:   :drink:
Might finish glueing the bits to my monoplane Walrus....it'll be silver with civilian markings for Biggles.

Tut, tut, how can ANY aviation enthusiast NOT know who Biggles was, or even is............? :o

See here :-

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biggles

And yes, he surely IS British old chap, and is by no means mysterious.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Most interesting . Thanks for the link. Never heard of him before.  I guess you need to be English ....   At least based on what I just read.
