Smashing day at Hinckley...bought little, but had a great BLT sandwich.
Lots of people to talk too....marvellous.
The suggestion was made that I  should enter myself in the competition as a 1:1 exhibit, as I was in costume.
I declined. "Enter yourself" sounded rude.  :o :o

It has also been suggested that I add to ROOAARRING....I should also HOWL, BARK and possibly HOOT.

;)

These people who made the suggestion. Were they young, enthusiastic looking and dressed in white coats ?

Madness ! I a friends kid was over the other day, I was showing him the planes, cars, bikes, models junk etc etc and he was climbing over piles like we were in the forest and he finally asks why we have so much 'stuff' !

Had a great time at a friend's "Goth Wedding" at the Whitby Goth Weekend.
Both the bride and groom, Karen and Norman, wore stunning dresses, and everyone was dressed accordingly.
I wore a kilt, German Greatcoat and Black Pith Helmet. Very restrained.
I did make a lot of noise at the reception though  ;)

With a cunning plan, worthy of Baldric, I've persuaded my ever patient wife that the "most efficient way" of tidying my "shed"...it bears the name "The Radish Shed" on the door....is to complete "stuff". So I've been happily hiding in there, in the full knowledge that this activity has been fully sanctioned be "'er indoors."
Currently nearing completion on my "post-Apocalypse" Phantom in 1/72nd.
Decided it'll be in full Finnish markings, rebuilt from the wreck of a German one.
The Finns had 5 ex-Luftwaffe Phantoms, all rebuilt in different ways.

A 1/48th "Airship....propeller driven.....steampunked" Phantom in full USAF colours will hopefully be built to astound the USAF SIG at Telford. :banghead: :banghead:

RAIL WARS??  LMS Vulcans (streamlined, of course)  under attack by squadrons of  Southern Railway tank engined Gnats???........or LNER  airships with high pressure steam cannons.

This could be a most entertaining diversion.

You, like me, must have been fed on a diet of O.S. Nock at an early age.  ;D

Our own 'Howard of Effingham' thinks in similar fashion and has built a number of models in different railway colour schemes.

Hm, sounds like room for a Theme Build here............  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
