While some may be wondering what to take to Telford, I'm more concerned about which outfit to wear and what makeup..... :banghead:

Most likely an Eco Goth theme.....

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

The EE/BAC Lightning, Airfix 1/72 F.6, arrives soon.

It'll have a big radial engine, Doped Linen scheme, WWI roundels/markings-ish, and a rather large radial engine. Rigging will be essential to maintain the wingsweep. Other "mods" may be appropriate....
Thanks to PR19_Kit for the idea!!

Many thanks.....

Should complete my 1/35 Panzer II "updated" as a turretless APC Recce vehicle, post'46, in an apocalypitic Europe after the nuclear attacks on Moscow, New York and Washington, Berlin and London.
Operated by an anarchist group. :o :o

Just a moment of typical madness on my part.  ;D

I can't wait to see it 'in the plastic' though.  ;)

Well, not been on for a while, but still living.
Endured "Bell's Palsy" for a few months since April, but mostly gone now. Then diagnosed with Diabetes and Prostate enquiries, but survived various examinations of a strictly physical variety, have lost weight, and am still delightfully bonkers.
Sadly the modelling has taken a back seat, but I have plans galore, and the suitably silly Lightning Project is highly likely to appear at Telford in November, if not before.

I'm currently building a Hurricane I and a Typhoon Ib, both in 1/48th, and the former just needs decals, canopy, etc.. Both are in REAL schemes and finishes for Stafford's stand at Telford.

More progress on other items too....not least a selection of items devoted to the Ace of Spades!!. Think Aircraft, Armour, etc...

take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.

In the back of my mind, I'd had a B-24 Liberator "project."
It was to be a real Liberator B.VI of 100 Group, RAF....one of their special aircraft painted either in typical Bomber Command Black/Dark Earth/Dark Green.
One of my friends offered resources from ancient copies of Scale Models, scanning and sending articles. When I mentioned I was using the original Airfix 1/72 B-24J kit (I bought an old kit from KingKit, very clean mouldings too), my friend pointed out that the front turret was of the incorrect type, plus other "essential" modifications.....you can guess by this time my mind was "moving on."
So I ditched the original target for the Liberator...no longer for the Stafford club, but now for SIG of GOTH.

The Liberator B.VI will still be 100 Group, RAF.....all black, but after having flown through a mysterious cloud over Germany in early 1945, the crew became ill and made an emergency landing at Hoar Cross airfield (not far from where I live), where the crew were isolated to receive medical treatment, and the slightly damaged Liberator was the subject of many investigations, especially as a new aircraft "skin" began to cover areas of the airframe.
As "background", Hoar Cross was a small outlying airfield not far from RAF Lichfield, at Fradley. Post war, 52MU at Fradley disposed of around 500 Libertors and 900+ Typhoons!!!
Further background, my great aunt worked as a House Maid at Hoar Cross Hall, where she met her husband who was an ostler. Later, he lost his right leg at Tobruk but survived until passing away aged 92. :o :o :o

Had to remind myself what an Ostler was  My Gran's wedding certificate has her occupation down as "ladies maid"
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Had a few Ostlers in my family, including one for the Peel Family (of Sir Robert Peel fame.)

Another idea....a friend was asking about a particular "lump" on a Russian An-26...I suggested it was a boil or perhaps just an very large pimple.
Thought a "teenage" Hunter or Lightning, or Harrier, whatever, after 14 years of service might be covered with a few pimples?
