Thanks Kit.  Had a flash of inspiration while reading your reply.  FrankenCOIN could be inspired by the company Harrier demonstrator G-VTOL.  It can either be 'real' (G-COIN) in a company colour scheme like G-VTOL (camouflage!) or a mock up in a 'typical' user scheme.  The latter with or without national markings of some sort, or maybe an HSA logo instead.

Well done for sorting out your Mum's issues anyway, we all need to keep a hold on stuff like that in these times.

Indeed, you only get one

The way my daughters thought of the late Mrs_PR19, they had two.  ;D

Still sorting out mum's living arrangements.  Basically her house is now for all intents and purposes a bungalow with a loft conversion.

Still time for kitbashing.  Today I've focused on a real world 1:1 scale IKEA chest of drawers.

I hope you took the option of "includes meatballs" ?  ;)

I've only been to IKEA once - NEVER EVER AGAIN!  Ceilings too low, oneway systen following brain dead idiots who dawdle and won't get out of the way, no exits...  I'm borderline claustrophobic and honestly, I'd rather nail my feet to the floor with a Hilty gun than set foot in one of those stores again*.

I had the same issue in Fenwicks a few weeks back and have vowed not to set foot in there again until that one way system is done away with.

The Ikea here has short cuts designed into it to so you can bypass the dawdlers.  Or, if you have worked out what you want from their website you can walk in backwards through the checkouts to get to the warehouse area without going through the display section.  They are not happy about me doing it but I make sure I am armed with a clipboard and they haven't stopped me yet.
You have to choose your time though to avoid crowds.  The ceilings are at an adequate height.
Whenever I go I reward myself with a box of chocolate covered oat biscuits.
However, I know what you mean about the bat'leth.  I hate crowds and have often, when forced to attend busy places, wished for a sub-machine gun to clear my way.

I find that a battle-axe or, if I'm feeling more anti-social than usual, a halberd is a useful crowd dispersal device (an arm here, a leg there, a head over on the shelves ...).

'Twas my first visit in a long while to a branch.  Remembered why I don't often go.  Won't be back in a hurry!

Many years ago the big brains at JCPenney decided to rearrange the store into this stupid maze that infuriated me every time I went in there. I made a heroic effort to stay out of that store ever sense. Now assuming I'm not the only person who thought this way it's not to surprising the chain is slowly going out of business. I'm sure it's not the only reason, but it didn't help matters.

Having realised my 'Spitfire 25' plan was fatally flawed, a rethink was necessary.  Got a bit medieval with a scrapped Pegasus Spitfire 22 this afternoon and right now Spit 25 Plan B looks a goer.  More to follow.

An Uzi might be more fun.
A huge range of options are possible, and many do not carry a custodial sentence.

25 years ago, I discovered that a hungry, annoyed toddler can clear a surprisingly large area.

The elderly lady with the walking stick (94 year old mum) can also achieve remarkably good results in Gateshead IKEA.
