I was out all day yesterday, bit of a cultural day ; Richmond Park, Ham House and Twickenham via the ferry. Couple of ex work colleagues including one of our old Dutch ones

Haven't been to Richmond Park for a while and was stunned at the number of deer about. Coming up to the Autumn Rut so the stags in particular are looking at their best, but also are probably coming up to their most dangerous.

Modelling wise ? Not much done, but to be honest I'm feeling a bit down. I think it may be something to do with a change to my medication, but doctor says to give it another couple of weeks to see. She's going to keep an eye on things though and blood samples have been taken

Got some progress made on all the current projects  Including getting those wonderful Italian WWII era leather and chains seat belts on one of my real world projects sorted.

"Leather and chains"

Sounds kinky.  ;D ;D

But it also sounds like an 80's Glam metal/rock band... ;D

Little bit of progress on all the current kits in progress. I'm getting near that "hump" when, once you clear it, you seem to start making more rapid progress.........hopefully

Progress, including on my current real world Regia Aeranoutica build

Progress on all my current projects and some are very close to getting their transfers applied.

I've also been musing on what to tackle next. Various ideas including a couple of real world builds I want to do/finish, but I've also has some thoughts about an aircraft I have never, ever been able to understand the fuss people make over it.

The aircraft ? The Northrop T.38/F.5 family. I've never ever got it, it just doesn't look right to me. Then suddenly looking at Spinners current F.5 images I knew why I didn't like it. It's the things nose. It's just so pointed and sharp and just looks "wrong" to me. However Spinner's RAF examples look right (apart from that nose) so I'm thinking about building one with a blunter, rounded nose. Perhaps with a radar ?

Anyway we shall see how the mood takes once the RAF 100 GB is done.

FFs are the best!!!  My last one got a much blunter, rounded nose and it looked quite alright. A pretty safe mod to do.

Something like this perhaps, second iteration of the N-156 design, which
evolved intp the N-156T (T-38), N-156F (F-5A/B), eventually into
the N-311 (F-5E/F), and finally the F-20.  Note the circular cross-section nose.

Now they are interesting and quite attractive as well.

The single seater has the look of a "baby Javelin" to it from the side, to my eyes anyway. From the side they both look quite modern as well.

I'd never seen those designs, and i agree, Chris, both look pretty good!
I'm a fan of the T-38/F-5/20 design but i admit i don't like the pointy nose on the F-5, i prefer the Platypus type nose like on some F-5's and the F-20. Not much of a difference, i know but it's enough for my eyes.  ;D
But i did like Brad's nose job on his Liberty so yours is also going to look great.

  Cheers Jon

My current real world build has had a couple of coats of Klear so can now have her transfers

My Airfix Magazine came through the letter box this morning with one almighty thump. When I opened it there was a rather thick Pocketbond catalogue in it, about as thick as the magazine. Some really fascinating stuff in there and I didn't realise there were so many 1/72 scale armour models or so many WWI and Pre-Dreadnaught ship models available ?

Some Soviet multi turret tank designs and French pre and early Dreadnaughts have certainly caught my eye.
