At my age those two requests are incompatible   ;)

Cheers gents

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

..... and what she says too.....................  ;)

.........................and, to a certain extent,  how she says it.............................
"If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you....."
It  means that you read  the instruction sheet

Showing my Age, but that's always my default assumption.
Nothing wrong with a Male in the Occupation, of course (gender equality and all that  ) but it's almost always something that makes me go 'huh?' for a second.

I ended up in a cardiac ward several years ago in a hospital that was in the process of closing. Almost nobody was there so the head nurse who was a friend of ours called in the other nurses who had nothing to do to get me settled in. Four of the cutest recent nursing school grads walked in and started fussing all over me. I was grinning like an idiot! My wife and sister were also there so I had to behave.
The one on the computer asked me, "What brings you here today?"
I replied, "An ambulance".
My sister told the nurse to list me under "smart donkey".

Nice! Though there's always a catch...  :banghead:

Back in the late 60's and 70's we had a teaching hospital in Croydon, and lots all over London, which meant there were always student nurses around   . Back in those days the majority were female,  most of the male nurses went down the physciatric route. Nowadays it doesn't bother me as long as they look after me....and they tend to. Always been grateful to them

So true!

Indeed! Goes for all the Emergency Services; what services I have had to call on have always done the job, and done it as well as they are able.
Not something I could ever see myself doing, so hats off to them.

Finally got to the bench again yesterday for a little bit of detail painting on an ongoing Kittyhawk Mk Ia which is getting closer to the finish line, and won't be a Mk Ia when finished.  Done very little modelling this year, yes been busy with other things and also had a distinct lack of motivation but it seems to be coming back again   Probably all linked to the days getting lighter and Spring being here

It all helps, lifting spirits and all that. Good to hear you are getting back into the swing of things.

Had my visit with the physio (for my knees) this morning and got my exercise plan.

I think Paris 2024 is a shade to early, but Los Angeles 2028 is a possible  ;)

Meanwhile the Kittyhawk has had its canopy framing done, which I've been dreading, so we're gradually getting there.

You going to borrow the jetpack they used in 1984?
