Well shock, horror but I actually got back to the bench this morning. First time since before SMW. Various reasons, some physical, but I think the main one is actualy psychological. I was never a great modeller, but over the last few years my abilities have gone decidely downhill because of the aformentioned physical reasons. Thus I've been looking at what I could do and comparing it with I can now do and getting the hump to put it mildly.

Anyway I think I'm gradually learning how to cope with it and indeed had a good couple of hours at the bench. I got up and turned the lights off just as I reached that "I'll just do one more bit" moment. So maybe that's the key ?

So what did I get done ? I spent about an hour reminding myself where I'd got to with the Zero and A 20 before I downed tools last year, and I'm glad I've always made progress notes during my builds, they helped    Showing how long I'd been away from the bench both of the pickle jars I use for brush cleaning water had evaporated, apart from a strange slime at the bottom. Mind you that could have been the last remaining bits of "Donna Leaches Lime Pickle"     

I decided to work on the Zero and got a fair few of the fiddly bits done and she's getting very near the transfers stage. Interestingly my DeLuxe Materials Precision Plastic Glue's needle hadn't clogged at all and was instantly useable, so kudos to them  My experience with Revell's Contacta suggests it would have been rock solid by now.

So some progress    I just need to make sure I get a little bit more done over the next few days. Small steps, but at least they are forward ones.

Remember that modelling is supposed to be fun. The goal is not to create high art or perfection. The aim is to have a good time!
Keep doing little things and at some point your build will be finished.

Yes, every day can be progress. I'm in the painting doldrums right now. Building something is my favorite thing. Painting is an aggravation. So I'm designing a new organizer for the work desk. At least I won't have to paint it.
