The spitfires are very likely to bankrupt me...

I don't know why they just don't ship the entire production run to your place anyway Lee............  ;D

That would be silly.  Far too many.  A shipping container full in the back garden would be fine.  And I could use it for secure storage and an exterior workroom.

One good thing is that a lot of the older AZ kits will be released back onto the market at lower prices as people upgrade.  Should I get a wheelbarrow for my visit to the kitswap this year?

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Progress on all projects on the go at the moment.

The Avia has had her struts fitted and now can enter the paint shop, the H.P. has had her upper camouflage colours started, the Beaufighter is ready for her transfers and the Stuka is basically built and can now enter the paint shop.

The Airfix Stuka is a lovely kit, goes together really well and has some nice detail. The exhausts are hollow and will really repay careful painting. You even get two pilots seats. One with moulded on belts for use without the pilot figure and one without belts for use with. They will obviously be bringing some latter versions out as the entire front end is on a separate sprue.

I've realised that my build won't be a Wif after all. I had a feeling the Hungarian's had flown one in the scheme I'm using and after a bit of digging I found out they had. So at least she won't get missrepresented as a Wif.

Slow progress on all projects currently in hand but it's very slow. I've a few other things on my mind at the moment and one of them is this Saturday's F.A.Cup Final - come on you EAGLES  ;D

Hopefully get my brain clear next week and get some real progress done.

A little more progress on the H.P., the Ju 87 has been primed in white and can now have the red, green and yellow added before the 3 colour upper camouflage is done. Going to be quite a colourfull bird this one. Apparently the 3 colour upper camouflage wasn't a left over from the pre 1939 Luftwaffe scheme but was a Hungarian experimental scheme using the same colours, at least according to Kora. The Beaufighter has had her major transfers done and is now awaiting the stencils. Not sure if she will get all of them, see how my patience goes

That's it for this week. Cup final today (did I mention Palace ? ) so beer today and beer tomorrow in either celebration or commiseration

What Cup final would that be then?  ;)

One of the contractors I looked after yesterday was another Brit', he came up to me during the day and said, "looking forward to the Euro then". I said "what's that" ? as I had no idea what he was talking about (EDIT:) until he told me it was something to do with football,  (I have never got into soccer/football ever, even when I was in the UK, I was a Speedway fan and supported the Poole Pirates)  the look on his face was priceless though  ----
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

I'm pleased to say I've only EVER seen one soccer match ever, and that was a match I saw on TV in Berlin as my girlfriend at the time wanted to see it.

The game is FOOTBALL , I can forgive the S word being used by "Septics" who somehow have a game called Football where the ball seldom seems to be kicked ??  but not in the U.K. Football came first, rugby second, but the nobs nicked the name of "our" game. By the way I do go to rugby as well.  ;D ;D

Anyway thanks to a Man Utd supporting ref being appointed the lads lost. Never mind it's only a game  :banghead: Back to the modelling now

Well I did put all of the stencils on to the Beaufighter so she is now on the final lap.

The Avia has had her undersides painted, the Stuka is getting her ID/National tail markings painted ; why can basic colours like red, green and yellow be so difficult to get good coverage with ?  :banghead: The AW has had a change of role as I picked up the wrong colour almost by instinct and she is dark green rather than light slate grey  So instead of being at the nuclear tests she is one of the Auckland's slated for the low level tactical nuclear delivery role in the 1960's and given a similar camouflage to the Vulcan's etc.

At the stage where you don't appear to make much progress and am having to restrain myself from starting another couple of projects.

And yet in soccer it is permissible to put the ball between the goal posts with any part of the body other than the hand.

In Australian Rules Football on the other hand the last part of a player the ball hit before it passed between the posts must be a foot.   ;D
