Some clever thought gone into the engineering and they've obviously studied their sources.

Considering that there aren't any real ones left, that's pretty good. Maybe they have access to the manufacturer's drawings?

You'll do fine Chris.  Bigger means more fun.
I've been looking thoughtfully at my Academy C-97 (not ready for the B-36 yet, that needs some serious loin girding).

Anyway my only slight concern is that the she builds up into 3 major sub-sections rather than the more traditional wings and fuselage type build. It'll be interesting to see what the fits like here as it will make or break the build. I'll post some before and after shots of this stage.

The 3 sub-assemblies are now complete and just need a little gentle sanding along the seam lines, which is easier to do whilst they are separate. However I did dry fit them and it does look as though they will go together like a dream

I'm seriously thinking of getting the bomber version and making her a Desert AF machine brown/stone uppers and black lower surfaces ?

Cracking idea, you'll need a LOT of black paint!  :o

Progress is being made with the Whitley, but I've decided that I've got so into it that I've been neglecting the Claude and Attacker. So as I need to make the trip to Halfords (my local branch is a little awkward to get to by public transport) to stock up on Appliance White I'll work on these two poor neglected soles over the weekend  ;D Whitley will progress next week.

A couple of shots of my finished Hasegawa Ki-61 Hein (Tony). Nice relaxing build.

For a fleeting moment I thought it was Irish.  ;D

Very nicely built and painted.

Weekend progress.

The Claude has had the majority of painting completed. I'm using Colourcoats so taking longer than usual. Hopefully transfers latter in the week.

The Whitley has got to the stage where I'm going to have to join the 3 large sub-assemblies, can't put it off any longer. I will post before and after pics. There was a little bit of p.s.r. needed on the engine nacelle to wing joints. Totally self inflicted and I'm far to embarrassed to put the reason why down in print  ;)

The Attacker suffered a bit of a disaster. I was doing a little sanding whilst standing up, don't ask, and I dropped it  :banghead: Landed on a wing tip and it snapped clean off. The key word is clean as with the tiniest bit of clean up it fitted back on with the minimum of filler  Used 5 minute epoxy on it as I'm not sure glue would work with the amount of filler that's on it.

You lot are starting to have a bad effect on me. I'm finding myself working on cleaning seams up far more than I would have done even 6 months ago for some reason ?? Is it contagious or even notifiable ?

Finally I had a look at the PZL-42 after taking it out of it's individual plastic bags, and  The detail is absolutely amazing and the tooling is very fine. Some tiny pieces so hopefully the fit is good. I did test fit the wing halves and they go together with no sign of a seam at all. The kit does have aids to the fit in the form of tabs and slots and pins and holes so it's not your usual general run of the mill limited run kit. The more I look at it the more I think Eduard had a hand with it ?

Will be looking out for the 23 Karas at Frimley and am really looking forward to their forthcoming P.37A Los
