I enjoyed building my first Whitley. Even thou I was on a speed build toget it ready for a show.
It was for the 2015 Driffield show. The show was held just a stones throw from the former RAF Driffield. The squadron option I chose for mine just happened to be based there when they had Whitleys.................
Oh yeah, and mine was beleaved to be the first one to appear out side of captivity lol

I liked it that much Ive got four more sitting in the Container
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Wen't to the Farnborough show yesterday and one of the trains broke down on the way and we had to be shunted to the next station  :-\ Should of been about 3 hours and took 4. Then on the way home the train I was on connects with another two at Woking and one of those was 30 mins late,
so a great journey home as well  :banghead:

Not a bad little show and I got the new tool Airfix Me.262 and some paints and transfers, but will I bother next year ?

I seem to have come down with my first cold of the season and it's quite a nasty little one.  :banghead: Don't think I'll be getting much modelling done until I clear the worst of it  :-\

A cold?  Blame it on public transport.  All those strangers breathing at you.

Get better soon.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Primary schools are the worst!  Every  September staff catch a huge range of miscellaneous nasties that the little darlings have been incubating all summer.     Aint I glad that I'm retired now!

Time to get a Flu Jab as they are talking about that already for this Winter !!!

I know how you feel, mine was just clearing up after lingering for a few weeks, when it flared up again last Friday, more coughing, thick head and bunged up than the last one and that was within a week of the end of Scholl holidays and the start of the University registration. I'm not even mixing in the student areas and still got caught by it  :banghead:

Cheers gents. Thought I was feeling a bit better today, but as the day's worn on  :banghead:

As for flue jab ? Being diabetic I'll be hearing from the Doc very soon think ?

Some gentle progress on all 3 kits.

The Whitley now looks like a Whitley although I'll add her tail fins after paint work for ease of handling.

The Attacker has had some more filler. Not much but I did need some where the wing broke after I dropped her and for some unknown reason I seem to be being far for meticulous with the p.s.r. on this build for some reason ?

The Claude is ready for her transfers and therefore is getting there and will be going to Telford  Not sure whether it will be a new build or an existing model that will be accompanying her, we shall see.

I'm going to build the 262 as real world after some thought and once the Claude is complete I think I'll just sit down and concentrate on building her. Looks a nice build in the box.

Claude has had her transfers and now just needs a few tiny details painted. Had a few problems with the last phase of this one. My bad eye has been causing problems which coupled with the limited run nature of the kit has meant cleaning up some of the smaller bits has been a p.i.a.  :banghead: Indeed I've given up with a couple of the really tiny ones, it just isn't going to happen. Overall though I've enjoyed the kit I've just got to learn not to spoil the whole experience for the sake of a couple of tiny bits which, if I'm honest, will 90% of people even notice if I leave them off ? Possibly heresy to some but I think it's the way I'm going to have to go  :-\

Claude's finished. Photo's in the next couple of days.

No progress as after getting rid of my blocked up head cold I now have a runny nose cold  :banghead: One nostril in particular is as though someone left the tap on, no way I can do much at all, let alone model  :banghead: Got my flu jab tomorrow as well.

Anyway here's my finished Claude
