I'm not sure to be honest. We didn't have it for a couple of years and then it switched channels and we seem to have missed series 3 and gone to series 4, with series 3 promised for latter ??  :banghead:

However I swear that the recording I watched last night said series 2, so I'm completely confused. Anyway the Joker et al have just escaped from the asylum and Sophia is in a comma which is pretty good going as she was shot in the chest and head by Gordon's ex

Please remember I'm still watching my t.v. via a good old style transmission and only have free to air  ;D

Sophia is in a comma

is that after her semi-colonoscopy?

Pass ?

Anyway checked the T.V. Times and they have next weeks episode down as series 4, episode 18. So that's where we are.

having just found out we have missed series 3 actually helps to explain a few things  ;)

Back to the modelling. I've been looking at the resin kits in the stash and I've got some interesting ones in there. After the Vickers is done I feel another full resin kit coming on so it's going to be from one of these three : Planet Models Arsenal-Delanne 10C.2 ; SNCASE SE-100 or the LF Models Curtiss A-18 Shrike II. If I do the Curtiss it might end up in French markings ?

OK, so Season 4 is the last one made.  Season 5 is in production.

I only have one full resin aircraft kit in the stash - an Aki Resin Kawanishi E15K1.

Look forward to Season 5 then

Strangely I find a well produced resin kit quite relaxing. Some of the early Planet kits are virtually just a few pieces, fuselage moulded in one sort of thing, but still turn out nice models. Some can have to many fiddly, fragile small parts, but there are ways around that.

A poorly produced resin kit on the other hand  :banghead: However finishing one, and I'm not just talking about Unicraft here , can lead to an immense sense of satisfaction.

I haven't grokked the Kawanishi for a while.
I paid a lot for it as I really wanted an E15K1 and of course then RS repopped their styrene version.
IIRC its in a small number of large pieces.
Maybe it could join the RAF?  I'll have to get it out and see if it speaks to me.

The number of times that happens  :banghead: Sometimes within the same "extended" family of companies as well. You can quite often see where a company has used someones resin kit as the master for their styrene version.

Still a fair few resin kits in the stash that I'd like to see in styrene though. Among them would be the McDonnell Moonbat (I've built the old CMK and have the Anigrand) and the Wyvern TF1 or even the Eagle engine as a conversion for the Trumpeter kit (I have the CMK kit). Most of the others are probably way to esoteric  ;D

If either of those are available in styrene and I've missed them Robert will correct me

Bit to oppressive indoors to do much modelling, but what little I have done it's noticeable that some of the paints and adhesives we use in our hobby are behaving differently. I can understand stuff drying more quickly but some of the reactions don't appear to be a s simple as that which is strange because UK temperatures are not particularly high on a global scale. Anyway whatever is happening it's way beyond my O Level chemistry understanding. Where's Mr Penguin when you need him ?  ;)

Steel Penguin

Boing  as if by magic a penguin appeared
possibly the heat is getting parts of the solvents to dry too fast so the other parts  ( other solvents, pigment, resin) cause the oddness,  films not forming properly crazing, wrinkling etc  the other possibility with paint may be over solvated and it doesn't have enough of certain things to behave as expected.
some paints are designed for certain climates I assume,  ive a friend who's a professional miniature / wargames figure painter   and he says that at the moment the Spanish ones ( valligio ? sp?) are behaving far better than some of the others he has, and hes putting it down to the heat
I could ask my friend who QCed the stuff but he tends to have flashbacks  ;D and I tend to have my eyes glaze over  ;)    as hes has said, yup I spent time watching paint dry for a living, its less interesting than you think

hope it helps

I was brush painting Vallejo Model Colour acrylic at about 12℃ in my shed this morning and it was going on beautifully.  Much better coverage than when its warmer.

Yes it does mate

And I have noticed that my Vallejo and AK (another Spanish brand) haven't been affected like my Humbrol and Xtracrylic. Not tried my Hataka

Not much progress at all, far to oppressive indoors.

Heat has a way of making one want to do nothing other than occupy a chair and do as little as possible. Take some consolation that it shouldn't be too long before it subsides. I hope?
