Started to get the transfers on the 109 today, but forgot how "fragile" AZ's transfers can be. They are printed by KP and tend to come off the backing sheet at the first sight of water. They also tend to fold up on themselves very easily. So after struggling with the first one I coated the sheet in Future/Klear and once that had dried they were much more user friendly.

Just something to remember when using AZ's transfers, otherwise they are fine once you get to grips with their slightly idiosyncratic numbering system  ;).

Been working on my One Week Build this week so no real progress on anything else. Want to get back to the 109 and Mitchel now, hopefully I should get the 109 done before I go away for a couple of weeks

One Wee build is here https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?topic=46589.0

And here's a shot of it

Whoa!    :o  👌🔥👏👏👏    That's something else right there, great work!  And all in less than a week....  kind of hard to believe, really. I can barely drive to the store and back in under a week.

Some progress on the 109 and she should be finished before I depart to visit my tribe "up North". None on the Mitchel, but hopefully I'll get a little more done before I go.

I've also sorted out what will be next on the bench when I get back. Another of the lovely AZ Me 109's (this time the what if K-14 boxing) and one of their bi-planes. Be the first bi-plane I'll have built in a while. After that the Crusader AA tank will drop on the bench.

It's good to have a plan, even if it doesn't survive first contact with the enemy  ;)

We have those in South Jersey too.  Some are the older residents and others...well, it's tourist season now so that should tell you something

Real world alert

AZ Models Me 109 K4 of 2/KG(6), Prague-Ruzyne, May 1945
This is a really lovely kit with lots left over for your spares box. 3 interesting "real world" options offered in the box and I picked this one because I was attracted to the colour scheme in particularly. I almost certainly didn't use a dark enough shade of the lighter grey however as it's almost indistinguishable from the RLM 76. Still I like it and more importantly thorough enjoyed the build.

Plus got another 3 Bluebottles since I last mentioned it.

I do like that!!! Indeed, the colors are attractive. I don't recall seeing many painted like this so it's pretty uncommon I think.

I can never get those spiral spinner decals on.  Well done.

I have a couple of the AZ 109s.  I should do something with them.

Wasn't someone here collecting BF 109s?  What happened there?

That's why I picked it. All 3 options were interesting/unusual and they have 3 more on their "What If" K-14 boxing

I'd never tried one before, but the actual aircraft had one so as they don't include one in the kit I took one from an Aeromaster after market sheet for Italian 109 G's and K's. Cut it in half and it went on fine with just a little warm water. Probably would have gone on fine in one piece

I've only got experience with the AZ 109 G's and K's but they are great little kits, well recommended.  On my return from the great smoky north I'm going to build one of the V tailed ones with the aforementioned Italian markings.

Yes, Bungle was, and he amassed quite a number as I recall.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I was thinking of combining the vee tail and the longer wings.
