Very, very little progress model wise over the festive season and there won't be anymore until 2020 (is it really 2020 ? where the hell have the two decades gone ? ), but I did get a little bit done this morning before the pub called.

Anyway CR 32 is ready to start getting her transfers and then the upper wing can go on. I need to be in the right frame of mind for that so it's unlikely to be this week. The Whitley has also started to get her transfers, although upon removing her masking some of the paintwork came off with it.  :-\ Finally  the Kingfisher's interior is just about complete, so I can start major assembly in the New Year. She's gone together well so far. This is the second AZ kit I've had which has had aids to fitting (first was the 109 K), nice to see them improving the quality of their kits  Although as I've said you do need to check and see if their "new" tools are indeed new and not re-pops of their own previous tooling's or someone else's.

Still no real progress, although yesterday was probably the final seasonal beer up, so hopefully get down to some serious progress in the next few days.

The one thing I have been doing is looking at a possible photo hosting site to replace P'Bucket which seems to be showing absolutely no sign of resurrecting it'self (as of 14:00 GMT 6th January 2020) . I think I will be going down the Flickr route although I will be doing a little more "research" during the next few days. If I do I'll almost certainly take one of the paid plans as they look reasonable and you don't get any ads  Once I've got it sorted out then I have the perfect excuse to go through and try and get my photos sorted into some kind of order. Then I'll try and replace the stuff on here that's disappeared, although to paraphrase a certain antarctic explorer "that may take some time"

Finally and non modelling related I got my CAMRA membership renewal through today. For those who don't know CAMRA is the Campaign for Real Ale and my membership is a princely £26 a year, but in with my membership pack was the usual money off vouchers you get included in your membership. Now they have changed the way these operate this year, for a start they last for 12 rather than 6 months, and to my surprise they come to a value of £30. So basically my membership comes to -£4 - result or what  As for using them, then 4 of the 6 pubs within the Crystal Palace Triangle now accept them, so double result

That was the other site I've looked at. I just need to see which is the easiest to use and which one suits what I want to do with my photo collection.

Got an e-mail from LNER this morning and it doesn't look as though I'll be making the Peterborough show on 1st March. Kings Cross station is closed all weekend for essential engineering work and there are no trains in or out. Services are starting at St Neots in Cambridgeshire  :banghead:

Second year on the trot Network Rail have conspired against me  :-\

Glad to be of assistance, mate!
It is really easy, just a click and paste the link. Albums, editing, auto-resize feature before uploading, etc., makes it very user-friendly, IMO. and then, no ads!

How the devil do they expect people to get to St Neots from London to start a journey?  :banghead:

The railways have all gone to pot since I left in 1978 I tell you!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

They don't tend to offer either advice or alternatives Kit. I'm not even certain there is a National Coach alternative anymore. The attitude of Network Rail (responsible for the infrastructure) is that we have to have a little pain for some gain in the future, and if we can hang on for 10/15 years it will be all right in the end........................honest  :-X I'm not actually sure that the promised gain is worth the pain however ?

Managed to pick up scalpel, tweezers and paintbrush and made a little progress on all 3 ongoing projects. First of the year.

I always find it a bit difficult to pick up the thread especially when I'm at the fiddly bits and bobs stage of assembly, as I am with all these projects. A lot easier to pick things up if I've major work to do for some reason.

Also decided the modelling area needs a good sort out and the brush storage area needs a major cull. I've way to many and some are looking decidedly tired. However I want to make some progress before I digress.

Also decided on my next project. Nice simple build (I hope) of the Tamiya Douglas Skyray. Will be either real world or possibly FAA, maybe RAN or there's an outside chance it will get Aeronvale markings. See what markings I've got in the stash.

A jet???   Are you feeling alright, bruh?!  ;D ;D

Concur with the brushes and such... ever so often a good "purge" and re-organize is necessary and can be magic for the mojo.

The Tamiya Ford's a nice kit.  You'll enjoy it.

I thought the same thing... ;D

I do build the occasional one, although I struggle as to what part to add that signifies the build is finished ? With most of my builds it's the prop, but with jets there isn't anything that stands out as the obvious final step.

Certainly looks nice in the box Scoot. Been in the stash for a log time, but I was reading about them being used by NORAD the other day and that triggered me to retrieve it.
