Nothing whatsoever about the 20/20 series on the TV or radio news here.

Probably change now because you won last nights dead rubber by 5 wickets. In reality you got the runs with 3 balls to spare. However England were always 10/20 runs short, rested 3 key batsman and were incredibly sloppy in the field. One Bairstow dropped catch in particular was spectacular, even more so considering he had the gloves on. Mind you it went so high it probably had ice on it when it came down, but he did have gloves on  ;) Australia bowled well, were cruising with the bat and then almost bottled it again with yet another middle order batting collapse. You don't bat far enough down for 20/20 IMHO. Still in all fairness this is the first cricket you've played since March, at least we had the Test series and 20/20's against Pakistan to warm up with.

Modelling wise the PZL now just really needs it's matt coat

Indeed.  Our media are exactly that parochial.  World news is passed through a "any 'strayans involved?" filter before it is reported to us.
Capsized live export ship off Japan?  Two dead Australian crew members so we get to hear about that.
Tour de France?  No Australian has a chance of winning so it won't be widely reported this year.

As you possibly remember UK media seems to take far greater delight when anything involving a Brit goes wrong. Half the popular press works on the basis of "if you can't slag it off, don't print it".  But then it was all owned by an Aussie at one point and may still be ? Or did he change his nationality ?

An Aussie won a stage in the TdF the other day so that might have made your papers. Always meant to get over to France and see a couple of stages, one post Covid day perhaps

Re that capsized cattle ship. Our press picked up on the survivors picked up after a few days and the search for more.

Got the underside of the PZL matted, uppers and nav lights to go

I don't like it.  No criticism of you Chris, you've done a good job but it just doesn't ring my bell.

What's next?

I know what you mean mate, it's got an odd look I just can't like myself. I think it needs a more angular canopy which would be more in keeping with the period anyway.

What's next?

After the Thunderbolt, which I swear is jinxed as it had another accident this morning, plus fed the carpet monster again, I'm going to tackle my Fokker T.V. Only going to work on this to start with as I'm going to have to change my building methods to better reflect what my body/brain is capable of after my "little turn".

But if and when I come to any down times with that then it will be a couple of real world Hurricanes. After all it is Battle of Britain Day tomorrow.  ;)

I'm with Fred - don't like it either and TBH, I'm now glad I didn't shell out for one.

Must admit you really do have to want one and it completes my pre-war PZL collection. Just got to build the 50 now, but I think that will have to wait a while as it looks as though it might be a "difficult" build.

That plastic kit of the 50 is horrible, but I've seen at least two built so I know it can be done.  I do know that there's at least two resin kits of it, both long OOP.

I've two boxings Lee. One, which is a double boxing, by Akkura looks buildable with a lot of luck and a fair wind. The other by Polair looks terrible on the sprues, that's if you can see where the sprue ends and the part begins  :banghead:

I've had both.  Pretty sure it's the same tool.

Looks as though it is Lee, but the casting of the Polair one is so bad and there's so much flash it is difficult to be absolutely sure.

Old Wombat

Your conversation has made me take a look at my Akkura twin set of the PZL 50 & it appears to be ... buildable ... after a fashion.

Well, let's just say; I'm not completely turned off by the look of it & I'm not one for "challenging" kits. I think I have a couple or 3 spare cockpits floating around from various kitbashes to fill that void. Not on my "Must Build" list, though.

It looks like Choroszy really hooped the canopy profile, way too bulgy.

I think the D-520 look is down to who ever made the masters assuming
that a given engine always results in a particular look, and it's entirely
possible that the 'master' was a modified D.520 kit. Especially seeing
as the nose profile of the kit doesn't match the illustration on the box.
