Didn't do much more than reacquaint myself with the Fokker that's on there, but at least its a start

Bit of progress this week, in between what passes as the real world nowadays. Must admit I think Covid and the political mess that surrounds it got to me this week, and I'm used to living on my own. Still,got through that now and am back up and running on what passes for all cylinders nowadays 

I've made progress on the Fokker and have commented more fully in the appropriate area. I've also dug out an old Hasegawa kit to build as a nice simple, easy to build real world job if I get stuck again. However since I dug it out the mojo for the Fokker has returned as I can see my way forward, Sod's or what

Delighted to hear that you are running on all (4? 6? V8?  or even 12) cylinders again and that the Fokker mojo is returning.  I'll cheerfully admit that I have more than one build on the go at a time (too many, cries Madame R!) ranging from a simple RW item through a more complex Whiff to a downright stupidly complicated job .  I flit between them depending on how I feel, because IT'S MEANT TO BE ENJOYABLE!!  Enjoy whichever kit you feel most relaxed working on.

I normally find that having 3 on the go at any given time is the right approach for me, unless as now I'm building a multi engine type and it's limited run. Once I've got the internals done on the Fokker I shall start on the next couple of builds, unless of course one of them is multi engine ?

I have made progress on the Fokker and I've detailed that elsewhere. Meanwhile more or less as a relaxation build I've dug out a 1987 boxing of the Hasegawa J2M3 Raiden which will be built real world and straight from the box. Made a start on its innards this morning and so far it's a good fit. Forgot how wide the cockpit is/was. Pilot could of got a two seat sofa in there  .Most of my Japanese colours are in enamel so that may slow the process down, but as they are White Ensign it shouldn't slow it down to much.

I'll keep the build notes up to date.

You can understand the Raiden's wide cockpit I suppose given the size of the engine, but the T.2 ?

Work on the Fokker continues slowly but surely.

As far as the Raiden's concerned I've given the interior a coat of Mitsubishi Interior Green and after a second coat she'll be ready to assemble. I'm going to set a day aside when I don't work on the Fokker to have a good go at it and see if I can almost "Blitz" it. We shall see.

It's interesting to see how far Hasegawa have come since tooling this, and also to think that we regarded kits like this as "state of the art" back then. Nowadays it looks quite simple, but sometimes we need that.

I've also got my kit out for the Captured GB, now need to check I have the markings I need for it.
