as they tend to be more detailed & properly bulged.

Very much so  A nice easy addition to a kit which can improve it considerably, although some say that they can be a little to flat, but it's all a matter of opinion

Whilst watching the game last night I did something I haven't done for years. I couldn't watch when Kane took the penalty, so left the room. I knew he'd missed, then scored by the noise most of neighbours made  ;) I then sat there with all fingers, arms, toes and legs crossed until the ref blew the final whistle

I'm old enough to remember 66, but I never felt this nervous then, mind you as a 14 year old you think you and thus they are invincible  ;D Going to be a very tough game on Sunday as the Italians look a great side and I've always had a soft spot for them being an ex defender myself, but Gareth (ex Palace lad) and the boys can do it - fingers crossed

There were hardly any builders on the Tube this morning - normally the early trains are packed with them. Probably a good thing or the state of their work would be shocking!

Perhaps we should rig so England win a game every week so us regular commuters can get a seat in peace and quiet  ;D

The trick is for the ref's not to be fooled by the antics of the Italians, they all seem to have to go through the Accademia Nazionale d'Arte Drammatica Silvio D'Amico before they can play for their national side.

You didn't watch Italy play in a long time, right? Like... really long.

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Agreed, they stopped all that malarkey a long time ago. They are no better nor worse than the others now.

There was one foul in their semi where I swear the guy had been brought on specifically in extra time to do it. I felt sorry for the Spaniard he did it to and that comes from an ex defender  They also managed a fair few strategic injuries in extra time to knock the Spaniards out of their stride, but alls fair in love and football  ;)

In the pub with some mates yesterday afternoon and most of the giant tv screens in there still had the beer stains from the night before  :drink:

Actually, I saw a news item about a week ago where commentators were, basically, censuring a referee for falling for an Italian player taking a very overt dive, similar to the stunt they played against Australia during the (Whenever) Olympics, which they claimed was an Italian tactic - I don't follow soccer, so I can't put a date on the Olympics thing, sorry.

Oh well footies finished so back to the modelling we will go  ;)

All I'll say about last night is how the heck can you miss 3 penalties out of 5 ? Mind you the Italians missed 2 of there's  :-X England were the better side for the first 20 minutes and then Italy got to grips with the system we were playing and were the better side for the rest of the game, so the best team won. So well done Italy  Mind you their skipper Chiellini should have been sent off in extra time for dragging young Saka down by his shirt collar. I thought he was going to choke the lad. Don't think it would have made any difference though.

Disappointed ? Yes, but then I'm a Palace fan so I'm used to it

No progress today. Think I overheated slightly yesterday despite drinking pints of water. My house thermometer said 30C/86F and that is in what is possibly the coolest spot of the flat. Now given my model room is one of the warmest I think I pushed my luck a little to far. When I came back with the paper this morning I felt a little "flat" so have taken it easy in the cool. Feel far better now, but not going to push my luck especially as it's due to cool off a little over the next couple of days.

All too easy to dehydrate or overheat.  Hope you're feeling further improved, Chris.

Take care of yourself, mate. The heat is a silent enemy so don't give it any chances to get to you.
